Blended and bottled by George Ballantine & Son Limited, this is likely to have been bottled in the 1980s. This specific bottle is a Japan import. Ballantine's Finest range of blended whiskies was then described as - “Ballantine’s Finest is the oldest recipe in the current range, created in 1910 by the Ballantine’s family. There are more than 40 malts and grains in this blend. These are carefully selected from 4 different iconic Scottish regions.”

A 2008 Vintage special bottling from the GlenDronach distillery, matured for 11 years in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks from Spain and selected by Rachel Barrie for the Professional Danish Retailers. With a burnished copper hue and aroma of honey, spices, hazelnut and raisins, the palate is rich in creamy malt, toasted oak, chocolates and honeycomb with a lingering finish of nutmeg and crystallized ginger. A limited release of about 3500 bottles in 2019.

Lots of smoke, iodine, and salty notes with hints of oloroso in the background. A great bottling to taste a Kilchoman from its early days.

GlenDronach 21 years old is named Parliament after the parliament of rooks guarding the warehouse of the distillery. This whisky is a marraige of spirit matured in Pedro Ximenez casks and Oloroso Sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain. A full bodied and richly sherried whisky, with notes of elegant ripe blueberries, plums, candied orange, pudding. A finish which is warm with dark chocolate treacle.

First distilled in 1973, Longrow is the double distilled, heavily peated style Single Malt from the Springbank Distillery. Longrow 1994 vintage is reportedly matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
