Dalmore

Dalmore Distillery is located in Alness, Scotland, which is about 20 miles north of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name.

Dalmore is typically characterized by densely fruity, rich sweetness with a malty cereal in the background. Ex-Sherry casks are the most commonly-used maturation cask.

A new addition to the Dalmore range, this is a different release than the usual 12 Year old from Dalmore. Matured in ex-bourbon casks for about ten years and then supposedly further finished for an additional 24 months in a combination of American & European casks from 3 different Andalucian cooperages (Tevasa, Vasyma, Paez) bringing together the influence of a variety of Sherry including Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez.

Matured mostly in American bourbon cask and then finished in one of four different wood types personally selected by Richard Paterson to showcase the four seasons. Spring Edition – Finished in Madeira Wine Casks; Summer Edition – Finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks; Autumn Edition – Finished in Apostles Sherry Casks; Winter Edition – Finished in Matusalem Oloroso Sherry Casks.
