Dalwhinnie

Founded in 1898 at one of the highest points in Highlands, Dalwhinnie in Gaelic translates to "meeting place" a reference to the confluence of 3 drove roads. With a focus on making a heavier distillate by minimizing copper contact and running the lyne arms into wooden worm tubs (which were once replaced by shell and tube condensers in 1986 and then brought back again in 1995), Dalwhinnie remains a classic Highland Distillery which ultimately ends up with sweet vanilla and heather honey flavours.
