William Grant began to built the Balvenie Distillery in the abandoned Balvenie New House, Glenfiddich Scotland in 1892. Their whisky-making process is dedicated to maintaining the Five Rare Crafts and they are the only distillery in Scotland that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both a coppersmith and a team of coopers on site.

A non-chill filtered Balvenie which was matured in traditional oak whisky casks (i.e. ex-Bourbon American Oak) and further finished in Golden Caribbean Rum cask. Bottled at 47.5%, this is a beautiful combination of fruit and spice. Chocolate, orange and vanilla build into a dry oaky finish. (Tasting Notes from Producer).
