Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Founded by William Grant in 1886, William Grant started building his own distillery with his seven sons and two daughters by his side and a single stone mason. He named it Glenfiddich, gaelic for Valley of the Deer and after a year of hard labour, the first drop of spirit falls was ready from the copper stills on Christmas Day 1887. In 1923 even in the midst of prohibition, Glenfiddich was one of only six distilleries that operated in Scotland

Today, Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is one of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

This Glenfiddich 30 Years was awarded Gold Medal Best in Class winner at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2007. Distilled over a generation ago and maturated for over three decades in specially selected casks, has produced a finest Scotch single malt whisky with complex taste and fragrant aromas. This bottling is likely from the 2008 (or prior) release before it was re-launched in a dumpier bottle from 2010 onwards.
