Hibiki Blended Japanese Whisky

Launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary, Hibiki has been one of the most highly awarded whiskies throughout the years. Originally launched as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” it supposedly comprises 30 different component whiskies. Bottled in a unique bottle with 24 facets that reflect all the ‘small seasons’ in the year (four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter which are further divided into six periods, each of which is named after a seasonal characteristic, such as “Risshun” and “Risutatsu”), the original release was a 17 year old followed by the 21 year old. The 30 Year old was first released in 1997 and the 12 Year Old in 2009.

The 12 and 17 Year old releases have been discontinued in the recent past.
