An important component of blends since the 1920s, Cragganmore represents the Speyside region within Diageo's Classic Malts selection. A fragrant aroma combined with slight fruitiness on the palate overlaid with sweet, smoky notes and a hint of sandalwood (Tasting Notes from Producer).

Cragganmore continues to utilize the Worm Tubs condenser, a method that is relatively difficult to manage and less efficient than modern column condensers. Nevertheless, whiskey making is a traditional craft, and for serious whisky aficionados, maintaining some of these classic techniques is important—whether out of genuine appreciation for the heritage or for promotional purposes.

Additionally, it’s interesting to note that the original Cragganmore whiskey was once a key ingredient in the blends of Grand Old Parr and White Horse.
