Designed specifically for the discerning whisky enthusiast, this dram delivers a bold profile, with the elevated alcohol content serving to intensify the complex flavors while skillfully maintaining a balance of sweetness and smokiness. The result is a remarkable whisky that marries Kilchoman's signature natural peat smoke and vibrant citrus character with layers of dark fruits, rich spices, and a delightful salted caramel sweetness. Named after the famously dark, peaty loch overlooked by the distillery, our annual Loch Gorm limited edition is our only regular expression matured entirely in oloroso sherry casks.
For the 2023 Edition Anthony and Robin selected a total of 22 casks, 8 distilled in 2013, 6 distilled in 2014, and 8 distilled in 2015. Each cask was chosen for its unique flavour profile which, when combined together with the other 21 casks, create a beautiful balance of rich fruity character with layers of classic Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus sweetness.
Nose: Hints of cacao with an essence of leather, black cherry and light smoke. Palate: Roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate and roasted dark fruits give way to light ashy peat smoke. Finish: Balanced and long with fresh Islay sea breeze. (Tasting Note from Distillery)

The 100% Islay 13th Edition was distilled from 2012, 2013 and 2014 barley harvests before being matured for 44 bourbon barrels for a minimum of 8 years. This unique Single Farm Single Malt is the only whisky in Scotland to be produced entirely on one farm, from barley to bottle. The barley was then malted onsite and peated using local Islay peat before being distilled, matured and eventually bottled all within the farm distillery’s premises. Limited to 13,000 bottles. Awarded 95 Points at IWSC 2022 (Gold Medal Winner).
NOSE: Malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender, pear drops, sea salt and hints of peat smoke. PALATE: Fresh vanilla and fragrant peat smoke with caramel, barley blossom, sultanas and hints of spicy oak tannins. FINISH: Silky viscosity with fresh crumpets, butter and honey. This release on the back of the huge success of the first release (of the same vintage aged 28 years and released in March 2013) was also distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon casks, which sat in Bowmore's famed No.1 Vaults for 30 years and was bottled in 2014 at cask strength. A beautiful deep gold color with citrus and mint dark chocolate on the nose, the palate is made up of honey, hints of ginger and a finish of elegant fruits and spices with dark chocolate. Only 500 bottles were released.
