The Raw Cask series delivers an “old-school” whisky that emphasizes natural oils and intense wood influence over refinement. It features no chill filtration, no added coloring, and visible cask sediments.

Smoking Islay 11 Year Old is a peated blended malt Scotch whisky crafted from two Islay distilleries, bottled under cask reference SI2024-01. Independently bottled by Blackadder as part of its signature Raw Cask series, this whisky was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024, with a total release of 694 bottles.

Bottled as RAW CASK, each and every bottle contains its own share of the CASK SEDIMENT, as well as NATURAL OILS AND FATS that might otherwise be left behind when filling a cask-strength whisky straight from cask. Blackadder Benrinnes 14 Year Old single cask single malt Scotch whisky from the Benrinnes distillery, independently bottled by Blackadder to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in January 2025 after 14 years maturation in a first-fill Amontillado hogshead (cask #303522), it highlights Benrinnes’ robust, meaty style enriched by nutty, oxidative sherry notes.

As part of Blackadder’s Raw Cask series, it is presented at natural cask strength of 55.7% ABV—unchill-filtered, uncolored, with natural cask sediments for an oily, intensely authentic profile. Total of 238 bottles released.

Blackadder Inchgower 20 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was independently bottled by Blackadder as Raw Cask Statement Edition No. 12 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. Distilled in July 1995 and bottled in September 2015 after 20 years in a single sherry butt, it was released at 57.6% ABV (cask strength) without chill filtration or without addition of any colouring. The Raw Cask series also tends to have natural cask sediment since the whisky is not heavily filtered. 582 bottles were produced. Bottle number for reference only.

The sherry maturation adds an old-school depth to Inchgower’s salty, maritime character. Rated highly on Whiskybase at +87.

Blackadder Glen Moray 31 Year Old 1990/2021, Cask #4563, Single Malt Scotch Whisky, was independently bottled by Blackadder as Raw Cask Statement Edition No. 40. Distilled in May 1990 and bottled in May 2021 after 31 years of maturation in a single cask, it was released at cask strength without chill filtration or without addition of any colouring. The Raw Cask series also tends to have natural cask sediment since the whisky is not heavily filtered.

This 14 Year Old single cask single malt Scotch whisky from Linkwood Distillery was independently bottled by Blackadder to mark its 30th anniversary. Distilled on 13 September 2010 and bottled in May 2025 after 14 years of maturation, including a first-fill Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry cask finish (cask #168), it combines Linkwood’s floral and fruity character with added sherry richness. Only 254 bottles were released.  

Part of Blackadder’s Raw Cask series, it is bottled at cask strength without chill filtration or colouring, retaining natural cask sediments for an oily, authentic texture.

Blair Athol 12 Year Old is a single cask single malt whisky from the Blair Athol Distillery, independently bottled by Blackadder. Distilled on 15 February 2013 and bottled in June 2025 after maturing for 12 years in a refill barrique (cask no. 302229), this special release celebrates Blackadder’s 30th anniversary with only 261 bottles available.  

Bottled at cask strength of 60.5% ABV as part of the Raw Cask series, it remains no chill-filtered, non-coloured, and contains natural cask sediments for an oily texture. The refill barrique highlights Blair Athol’s signature nutty and fruity character while imparting a bold wood influence.

This single malt Indian whisky from Amrut Distillery in Bangalore was specially selected by Master Distiller Ashok Chokalingam and independently bottled by Blackadder to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Bottled in 2025 as cask BA2025-01, only 125 bottles were released.  

Embodying the spirit of Blackadder’s Raw Cask series, this release remains unfiltered to preserve the natural cask sediments for maximum authenticity. Bottled at a powerful cask strength of 63.6% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered, uncoloured, and retains natural cask particles for a richly oily texture.
