This Sullivans Cove 16 Years Old Single Malt Whisky is a rare bottling, meticulously matured in American Oak single cask #TD0331 by Tasmania’s small-scale craft distillery Sullivans Cove. The distillery started in 1994 was crowned the world’s best Single Malt, in 2014 as the first outside of Scotland or Japan to win “World’s Best Single Malt,” followed by “World’s Best Single Cask” triumphs in 2018 and 2019.

This exclusive bottling commemorates both Mizunara's 10th Anniversary and a two-decade friendship between Mr. Barry Eric Dick and Mizunara's founder (at US Investment bank Merrill Lynch), rooted in their shared appreciation for exceptional whisky. Barry's passion for Thor comics, sparked at the age of 10, and his later appreciation for fine whisky converge in this exceptional single cask bottling, titled very aptly "Whisky & Friends: The Best Pairing of All." 

On the nose, expect ripe pineapple and greengage with baked pastry notes. The palate delivers full body and silky texture with figs in syrup, candied fruits, and malt, while the finish gracefully unfolds with liquorice, shortbread, and citrus. A truly special single cask that celebrates friendship and fine whisky craftsmanship.

Double Cask No. 083.  Sullivans Cove Double Cask has been the winner of Best Australian Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2018 and the Gold Medal at 2018 World Whisky Masters.

This is the 3rd release in the "BIRD" series from Kokubu Shuzo after the Flamingo Orange and Cool Mint Green from the same distillery. The primary fermentation is made with Shiro Koji (Minamihikari rice from Kirishima) and "Kagoshima fragrance yeast No. 1", and the secondary fermentation is made with IMO or sweet potato (Satsumamasari from Kagoshima Prefecture) and Shiro Kome Koji (White Rice Koji). Delivers a very rich banana, cream and melon-like aroma. Distillation method: Vacuum distillation

The 1981 Kioke Shikomi is regarded to be largely Hakushu (label states Pure Malt) and reportedly bottled in 2005. The name implies "matured in wooden tubs".  The distillation technique seems to have involved the direct fire method and bamboo charcoal filteration. Discontinued in 1999.

The 1991 Furudaru Shiage (meaning "old barrel finish") is a pure malt vatting of reportedly Yamazaki & Hakushu distilleries.  It was also reportedly bottled in 2005. Suntory Crème De Kyoho Liqueur is a premium Japanese liqueur made using a generous amount of Kyoho grapes, a high-quality grape variety native to Japan. Hokuto was intially launched in 2004, but was discontinued since 2009/2010, despite it being a big success. This 12 year old pure malt consists of mostly Hakushu and perhaps some Yamazaki. Smooth and balanced, this was positioned as an "easy drinking whisky". No Box is avaliable.

A predecessor to the Hibiki releases, the Suntory Prestige was bottled in 1989 to celebrate Suntory's 90th Anniversary. Most of the malt in this bottling reportedly came from the Yamazaki Distillery combined with grain whisky. An extremely well balanced blend bringing forth cooked fruits, plums, raisins, toffee with a subtle hint of oak and tobacco. Bottled in a Kagami Crystal decanter.

Please note the condition of the box and the level of the whisky given the bottling vintage. Sold in "As Is" Condition.

Suntory Roku Japanese Craft Gin is a meticulously crafted gin distilled in Japan that highlights six unique Japanese botanicals: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, and sansho pepper. These botanicals are harvested at their peak freshness, following the Japanese concept of “shun,” to capture the essence of Japan’s four seasons in each bottle.

In addition to these six distinctive botanicals, Roku Gin also contains eight traditional gin botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peel, lemon peel, and angelica seed, which together create a complex yet balanced flavor profile. The gin is distilled using various pot stills to preserve the individual essence of each botanical, resulting in a smooth, multi-layered gin with floral, citrus, and spicy notes.

Roku Gin has an ABV of 43% and is known for its clean, crisp taste with a top note of yuzu, a subtle spiciness from sansho pepper, and delicate floral hints from cherry blossom and green teas. It is commonly enjoyed neat, in classic gin cocktails such as a Dry Martini or Gin & Tonic garnished with fresh ginger, or in more innovative cocktails that highlight its unique botanical profile
