KOMASA GIN-Sakurajima Komikan is a very enjoyable and broadly approachable gin produced by Komasa Jyozo, which has over 130 years of experience making shochu in Kagoshima. KOMASA GIN is based on minimalization of additional elements and focuses on the major botanical i.e. the Sakurajima komikan. The world's smallest mikan, or satsuma mandarin, is an important crop on Mt. Sakurajima as it is unsuitable for rice production due to its volcanic ash soil. With a diameter of only 4-5cm and a weight of 20-50g, the size of this mikan is small but its presence is immense.

Tasting Note: The crisp, dry taste of gin and the gentle citrus aroma of mikan combine for an entirely unique drinking experience.

"KOMASA GIN Hojicha" is Komasa Brewery's second craft gin, following KOMASA GIN Sakurajima Komikan. It is made by adding carefully selected botanicals, such as juniper berries and Kagoshima-grown hojicha tea, to rice shochu. It combines the dry flavor of gin with the fragrant aroma of hojicha tea. 

Hojicha tea, carefully sourced from Japan’s renowned Kagoshima region, lends gentle roasted notes and a subtle wood-like sweetness, creating a rich yet smooth profile. With hints of juniper and a comforting tea aroma, this gin offers a sophisticated taste experience.

THE HACHI SHOCHU, Kome (Rice), Cask Matured is a collaboration with Fukano Shuzo, which was founded in 1823 by Tokiji Fukano and is located at Hitoyoshi city in Kumamoto. This Kome Shochu comprises a vatting of about 75% of Kome Shochu A, a traditional unmatured Kome Shochu and 25% of Kome Shochu B, cask matured (for about 3.5 years in an Ex-Bourbon Cask) to create a perfect balance between the traditional KUMA Shochu with a hint of additional layers of complexity from the cask maturation. The unmatured traditional Kome Shochu A has been produced using premium Japanese rice (with a polishing ratio of about 90%), Shiro Koji (White Koji) and Sake Ginjo Yeast at low-temperature fermentation followed by single distillation under vacuum pressure to retain the flavours of the underlying ingredient Kome (Rice). The cask matured component has been produced with Ki Koji (Yellow Koji), Sake Ginjo Yeast and vacuum distillation. Come and enjoy this special bottling with Hacchan. Kanpai!

Color: Gold Nose: A fruity aroma of freshly cooked Japanese rice, mochi cream, fresh green apples, sparkling grapes, honeycomb and a hint of pencil shavings. Palate: Initial sweetness with fresh vanilla and honey reminding us of the oak maturation followed by rice mochi, some fresh apples, plums, apricots and oak spice sweetness at the finish. The flavours of Kome (Rice) come through in the mid palate along with the additional layers from cask maturation.

The Navy Island Navy Strength rum is a 100% pure Pot Still rum. The blend is made from 11 carefully selected small batch distilled rums of various ages. Navy Strength refers to rum that is bottled at exactly 57% alcohol by volume.

Tasting Notes: (From Distillery)

Colour: Deep Amber

Nose: Typically, Jamaican: full-bodied, complex with a high density of fruit starters, citrus notes and some wax.

Palate: Vanilla, banana bread and other fruits can be clearly seen. Oily with spices

Finish: A lasting sweetness develops, which is accompanied by figs and oak spice. It remains long and constantly evolves in the mouth.

This Single Origin Rum blends a range of 100% tropical aged, Column Distilled rums from Mauritius, an Indian Ocean island nation about 850 Km east of Madagascar. In the warehouse of the distillery (Grays Inc. Ltd), all the rums are aged for a minimum of 7 years in Ex Cognac casks which give the rum subtle spicy notes. A select range of older rums in this blend are then finished for another three years in Port or Acacia casks adding sweet and fresh flavours. A rich, complex and spicy rum. Natural Color, No Additives and Non Chill Filtered.

A blend of hand-selected Jamaican Rums, including some of the finest aged rums distilled in Jamaican Pot Still, this rum which has been finished for at least 12 months in Ex-Oloroso Sherry Casks. Navy Island is a small tropical island off the coast of Port Antonio, Jamaica. In the 18th century, the island was used by the British Royal Navy (hence the name).  

This rum takes on the dark flavours of the  Sherry cask including dark dried fruits, figs, raisins balanced by an inherent nuttiness.

Nose: Delicate notes of oloroso sherry, raisins and citrus in combination with heavy aromas of Jamaican Rum.

Nose: Complex combination of notes of vanilla, spices and caramel. Cinnamon and smoky oak. Palate: Caramel, vanilla, dried apples and apricots, as well as notes of banana and smoky oak Finish: Long, dry finish.
