Released in 2017, this set of two bottles includes a Yoichi Single Malt and a Miyagikyo Single Malt finished in Caribbean Rum casks. The Yoichi Single Malt retains its original characteristic pleasant peat, gentle smokiness and briny notes combined with additional sweetness on the palate and a bitter chocolate finish. The oldest aged whisky from the Miyagikyo range, this has already been discontinued. Produced from mild and virtually unpeated malt, this whisky starts off with apples and sweet oranges with oaky/earthy notes. The location for the Miyagikyo distillery was chosen for its high humidity levels. This particular bottling (estimated from around 2000s) has "Miyagikyou" on its label as opposed to later bottlings which spell it as "Miyagikyo".
