Hokuto was intially launched in 2004, but was discontinued since 2009/2010, despite it being a big success. This 12 year old pure malt consists of mostly Hakushu and perhaps some Yamazaki. Smooth and balanced, this was positioned as an "easy drinking whisky".

A predecessor to the Hibiki releases, the Suntory Prestige was bottled in 1989 to celebrate Suntory's 90th Anniversary. Most of the malt in this bottling reportedly came from the Yamazaki Distillery combined with grain whisky. An extremely well balanced blend bringing forth cooked fruits, plums, raisins, toffee with a subtle hint of oak and tobacco. Bottled in a Kagami Crystal decanter.
