Tasing Note: Nose: Vanilla, sweet citrus fruits. Palate: Vanilla, cream, chocolate. Finish: Clean sweetness, bourbon barrel aroma.

The "Tsunuki Distillery Festival", traditionally held every November, was canceled in its festival format on 2021 due to the new coronavirus. In its place, a special commemorative bottle was released for the 6th anniversary, marketed as the "Tsunuki Distillery Festival Limited Edition," which has been available annually.

Color: Bright gold. Imbued from four varieties of oak. Nose: Bold peat smoke with notes of stewed fruit and warm, toasted vanilla. This Laphroaig SELECT release celebrates the 200 Years Anniversary of the Laphroaig Distillery.

Laphroaig Select is aged in a combination of First Fill Ex-Bourbon Quarter Casks, Pedro Ximenez Sherry Hogsheads and Triple Wood (European Oak Casks) with the heart of the spirit being drawn from Whisky which has undergone a final maturation of about 6 months in New American Oak (Virgin) Casks placed in the highest parts of the warehouse to maximise the impact of the Scottish summer. In general it is quite unusual for Scotch Whisky maturation in New Oak Casks.

Awarded Gold Medal in 2020 & 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. 

Color: Sparkling good appearance with layered tones. Nose: Forward peat smoke followed quickly by ripe red fruits. Palate: Sweet at first, followed by peat smoke and dashes of ash and seaweed. Finish: Long finish with lingering floral notes. Kilchoman Batch Strength is a limited TOUR EDITION release that has been matured in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts, and bourbon barrels. This expression has been bottled at a robust 57% ABV.

Designed specifically for the discerning whisky enthusiast, this dram delivers a bold profile, with the elevated ABV serving to intensify the complex flavors while skillfully maintaining a balance of sweetness and smokiness. The result is a remarkable whisky that marries Kilchoman's signature natural peat smoke and vibrant citrus character with layers of dark fruits, rich spices, and a delightful salted caramel sweetness. Peat Level in 50 parts per million.

This limited release bottling was supposedly launched exclusively for the Japanese department store Takashimaya in mid-2020. Matured in bourbon barrels (reportedly for about 6 years) and a further finishing in Cognac Casks (reportedly for about 1 year). Subtle honey sweetness balanced with fruits.

Their own distillation has also gone through turbulent times in sync with the Japanese whisky market's boom and bust cycles with bulk spirit imports replacing their own production through these times.

This 1988 Vintage 35 Years Old from the Bunnahabhain Distillery is a special bottling by Whisky Antique (Silver Seal) from a Single Cask #1024. Matured in a Sherry Cask for 35 Years and bottled at 46.5% this release of 60 bottles has a special label designed by The East Asia Whisky Company under the Manta Ray Genesis Edition.

The label captures the silhouette of a majestic Manta Ray made visible by the dark emerald and frigid pink clouds that emanate from its dotted pattern radiating in the colors of the marine environment it inhabits.

Whisky Fun Extract: Colour: mahogany. Nose: this is more old-school than the House of Lords. Not talking about the Scotch whisky. Prunes, old cognac, dates, chocolate, figs, whiffs of moss and old pine wood, a few mushrooms and a little liquorice, plus a few roasted nuts, especially pecans. Mouth: we're deeply reminded of some old Speyside malts by G&M. Like pre-war, bottled in the 1970s and 1980s. It is a time machine! More bouillons, chocolate, pipe tobacco, liquorice, truffles, puréed chestnuts, pears poached in Sauternes, very old Sauternes, very old Malaga… It is definitely very 'antique'. I would love to watch young whisky enthusiasts tasting this whisky, or similar whiskies, for the very first time. It would undoubtedly be a real revelation, as they are becoming so rare. Finish: rather long, rather sublime to tell you the truth. Comments: as I sometimes say, we could spend hours sipping a magnum of each to try, and fail to decide which one, between the Kinship and the Silver Seal, is our favourite. Released in 1998, this exclusive bottling from Nikka includes whiskies distilled in and before 1964 and matured in oak barrels for at least 34 years. "A real vintage whisky for the connoisseurs. Gently sophisticated, aromatic and fruity character, this whisky is smooth yet full bodied on the palate with an airy sweetness and a dry finish." Only 1000 bottles were released in 1998.

The Taketsuru range of bottlings usually use malts produced at Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. However, this 35 Year Old released in 2001 is likely to be predominantly include whisky from the Yoichi Distillery. It is one of the oldest & rare bottlings available (very limited, 700 bottles were released in 2001) with whiskies which were distilled in 1965 or earlier. Originally such releases were focused on the Japan market only.
