A limited release of Double Distillery celebrates the Kanosuke’s re-charred ex-shochu casks — a testament to 140 years of family tradition and expertise.
This unique blend unites the character of both Kanosuke and Hioki distilleries. Hioki’s pot still whisky and Kanosuke’s single malt are matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks, with a final touch of a small amount of whisky matured in rum casks. The result is a layered, mellow richness with elegant warmth and subtle Japanese spice.
An evolution in Japanese whisky, Double Distillery tells the story of two brothers, two distilleries, and one legacy — continuing their grandfather’s pursuit of excellence in cask-aged spirits.

Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky “Risshu” (立秋), meaning “the beginning of autumn,” marks the 20th edition in the Nijushisekki (Twenty-Four Solar Terms) series from Hokkaido’s Akkeshi Distillery.
"A pale moon quietly sees off the passing summer, reflected on the surface of Lake Akkeshi, and the Perseid meteor shower dances down on the night. Akkeshi malt, aged for many years, exudes a citrus aroma with a soft peaty flavor. The key malt is undiluted malt from Mizunara oak barrels produced in Hokkaido. Enjoy the opening of the final chapter of the 24 solar terms." (From Distillery)

A rare old bottling of Johnnie Walker Red Label, estimated to have been bottled in the 1970s for the Japanese market. It was bottled at 43% ABV, slightly higher than the modern 40% ABV, and bottles like this often appear at auctions or specialized vintage whisky retailers. Given the likely bottling period in the 1970s (i.e. before the famous Whisky Loch in Scotland which forced many distilleries to close) it most likely contains some rare and closed distilleries. A great window into historic past of Scotch.
The label features the classic color Striding Man motif: a flamboyant Victorian‑style figure in a bright red coat, top hat, and boots, often outlined or highlighted in gold or yellow to contrast against the red‑background label. This full‑color style is characteristic of Red Label bottles from the 1960s–1970s and differs clearly from later, more minimalist black‑and‑white iterations of the logo.

The Johnnie Walker Gold Label 15-year-old was launched in 1990, initially developed as a special, high-end release for the Japanese market. This rare 15-year-old expression preceded the later "Gold Label Centenary Blend" (18-year-old) that was introduced in 1995. A rare old bottling at 43% ABV which occasionally appears in vintage auctions and specialist retailers.

This is an early 1990s bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, originally derived from the ultra‑rare “Johnnie Walker Oldest” blend that preceded the modern Blue Label expression. Blue Label is the ultimate luxury Scotch whisky, and supplies are limited by the rarity and expense of the whiskies used in the blend. Around 15 other mature and precious whiskies are added to balance Blue Label perfectly—“a blend that cannot be beat” (Alexander Walker, 1888). The label carries the Royal Warrant by Appointment to HM The Queen.
