This double oaked Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from Woodford Reserve delivers a rich, soft and sweet vanilla and caramel notes balanced with some oak. Matured in charred oak barrels first like the classic Woodford Reserve, this is then finished in a second oak barrel  (new heavily toasted, lightly charred barrel). An awarded Bourbon. Color: Deep Amber Nose: Rich notes of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. Palate: A full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. Distilled using a mix of unpeated Indian barley and peated Scottish barley, this is a special bottling indeed. Tropical fruits with hints of oak combined with sweet malt and vanilla.

Distilled from unpeated malt in 2018, this release is largely matured in first fill re-charred ex-bourbon barrels for about 3+ years. About 5,000 bottles have been released at a cask strength ABV of 57%. 

Color: Amber Nose: Citrus, Vanilla, Honey and Lemon Tea Palate:  Grapefruit with some cinnamon sweetness Finish: A balance of sweet fresh fruits, vanilla and dark chocolate bitterness.

This is the 1st release of Mars The Y.A. which refers to the Yakushima Aging Cellars located on Yakushima Island (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Kagoshima, Japan. The Y.A. #01 uses Malt Whisky distilled at the 2 distilleries owned by Hombo Shuzo at its Shinshu Distillery in Nagano & Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima which have been matured in mostly ex-Bourbon Barrels and blending to create a unique expression of fruity aroma. 

This unique expression showcases the complexity of the spirit by blending two different spirits from their 2 owned distilleries matured at a 3rd site. Yakushima Aging Cellar was established in 2016.

The "Tsunuki Distillery Festival", traditionally held every November, was canceled in its festival format on 2021 due to the new coronavirus. In its place, a special commemorative bottle was released for the 6th anniversary, marketed as the "Tsunuki Distillery Festival Limited Edition," which has been available annually.

Mars Tsunuki distillery is the second distillery of the Hombo Shuzo Group, launched in 2016. This is the 2023 release by the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima (where with a wide range of temperatures and blessed with high quality spring water from the Mt. Kurata mountain), with a release of 35,800 bottles. This is the 4th product release of single malt whisky distilled at Tsunuki (The Second Release of the Annual 'Year Edition').

Matured in the bourbon barrels for about 6 years. Nose: Marmalade jam along with sweet notes of honey, pancake, and a subtle smoke Palate: Citrus fruits, lemon peel and fresh malt Finish: Full-bodied sweetness balanced by a pleasant bitterness.

Totara is the indigenous tree that built Aotearoa. From the arrival of Maori, the timber from this tree was used to build waka, homes, carvings, weapons and containers for storing food. After a full maturation in first fill bourbon casks, we have transferred the whisky to the totara barrels for a second maturation period.

Nose: Creamy coconut, sweet-scented sap, ripe white peach, and freshly cut wood. Palate: Bitter lemon, stone fruit, and hints of dark chocolate. Finish: A long and sweet finish, leaving a lasting impression of the Totara influence. (Tasting Note from distillery)

Laphroaig Select is aged in a combination of First Fill Ex-Bourbon Quarter Casks, Pedro Ximenez Sherry Hogsheads and Triple Wood (European Oak Casks) with the heart of the spirit being drawn from Whisky which has undergone a final maturation of about 6 months in New American Oak (Virgin) Casks placed in the highest parts of the warehouse to maximise the impact of the Scottish summer. In general it is quite unusual for Scotch Whisky maturation in New Oak Casks.

Awarded Gold Medal in 2020 & 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. 

Color: Sparkling good appearance with layered tones. Nose: Forward peat smoke followed quickly by ripe red fruits. Palate: Sweet at first, followed by peat smoke and dashes of ash and seaweed.
