Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique Cask Strength is an unique single malt whisky from Taiwan. This older expression is bottled as a limited single cask release (Cask Number: W120607044), with a total of 203 bottles.

Vinho Barrique Cask Strength series was awarded the title of World’s Best Single Malt Whisky in 2015. Fully matured in used American Oak wine barrels, it offers rich and fruity aromas with layers of vanilla, caramel, tropical fruits, and subtle hints of spice and oak. The influence of the wine cask adds a smooth and complex texture with a gentle sweetness. 

Tasting Notes from Distillery: Color: Deep autumn gold. Nose: A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars. Ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Palate: The taste ends with clean and complex flavours embodying all that is best in the finest malt whiskies and a long aftertaste.

Kavalan Solist Vinho is aged in the finest slow grown white oak which is air seasoned for two years. After soaking with some of the world's best wines the casks are hand crafted with a specially developed toasting and charring process in the distillery's own cooperage to bring out the flavours that characterise this fine whisky. Kavalan Solist Vinho is a perfect example of technology and art blended together in perfect harmony.

Released in 2012, this Black Bull 40 Year Old is a blend of select Single Malt and Single Grain whiskies from the renowned Duncan Taylor & Co. vintage cask range. This expression is bottled at natural strength, preserving the character it has developed during its 40-plus years in the cask. The blend consists of approximately 90% malt whiskies and 10% grain, matured in a ratio of about 80% ex-Bourbon casks and 20% ex-Sherry casks. 

As the flagship of the Black Bull range, this superior blend includes whiskies from premium Scottish distilleries such as Glenlivet, Bunnahabhain, Tamdhu, Glen Grant, Invergordon, and Port Dundas. Black Bull 40 Year Old is part of Duncan Taylor’s multi-award-winning stable of blended Scotch whiskies, celebrated for its quality and craftsmanship.

Nikka Taketsuru 21 Years Old Pure Malt Whisky is a premium Japanese blended malt crafted by Nikka, blending malt whiskies from their two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Bottled at 43% ABV and aged for 21 years. 

This highly acclaimed and award-winning whisky — named after the father of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru — won the title of World’s Best Blended Malt Whisky at the 2010 World Whisky Awards.

Sadly, this expression has been discontinued as of 2020 and limited bottles remain available in the market.

Known for its rich complexity and balance, the whisky offers aromas of fresh fruits such as apples and apricots, alongside notes of toast, vanilla, and floral hints. The palate is layered with malt richness, subtle peatiness, and nuanced sweetness featuring flavors of nuts, caramel, ripe fruits, and spices. The finish is long and tender, with lingering notes of green menthol, mocha, honey, and gentle peat.

The Hibiki 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky received the Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge 2016. It also won the World Whiskies Award for Best Blended Japanese Whisky in the 13 to 20 years category.

The bottling with the matte finish purple box packaging belongs to the older editions of this whisky, produced before Suntory discontinued this age-stated expression in 2018. Please note that the box will have some creases and wear and tear given that this is an older release.

It is part of the distillery’s “24 Solar Terms Series,” specifically the 19th release, symbolizing the beginning of summer. This whisky is made using Hokkaido-grown malt and matured primarily in Mizunara oak barrels native to Japan.

Koval Distillery, founded in Chicago in 2008, using diverse grains such as rye, wheat, oat, millet etc. resulting in flavors distinctly different from traditional whiskies. To explore the impact of different casks on whisky flavor profiles, Nagahama Distillery acquired a batch of casks previously used by Koval for maturing their whiskies and named them "Koval Casks."  

The Amahagan World Malt Edition KOVAL is the original World Malt Whisky Edition 1 which has been further aged in Koval casks for 2 years and 3 months significantly enriching its flavor and complexity. 

Nose: Sweet and sour notes of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango, gradually revealing a cotton candy-like sweetness in the mid-to-late stages. Palate: Smooth with lively notes of pineapple, sweet grains, and green apple. Finish: Slightly dry with a hint of spiciness, and the finish is of medium length.

Ranked 95 points at the IWSC International Wine & Spirit Competition.

The 100% Islay 11th Edition was distilled from 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 barley (Optic & Publican) harvests before being matured in 26 bourbon barrels and 7 oloroso sherry butts for a minimum of 9 years. This unique Single Farm Single Malt is the only whisky in Scotland to be produced entirely on one farm, from barley to bottle. The barley was then malted onsite and peated using local Islay peat before being distilled, matured and eventually bottled all within the farm distillery’s premises. Limited to 12,000 bottles.

Awarded 95 Points at IWSC 2022 (Gold Medal Winner).

Nose : Lemon zest, vanilla and distinct coastal influence give way to floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and wafts of rich spices. Palate : Bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas, warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch and rich sweetness. Finish : Sherry-soaked fruit, cracked black pepper and sea salt. This is the 2013 Release and it is estimated that about 1600 bottles were released.

This is the 1st release of Mars The Y.A. which refers to the Yakushima Aging Cellars located on Yakushima Island (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Kagoshima, Japan. The Y.A. #01 uses Malt Whisky distilled at the 2 distilleries owned by Hombo Shuzo at its Shinshu Distillery in Nagano & Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima which have been matured in mostly ex-Bourbon Barrels and blending to create a unique expression of fruity aroma. 

This unique expression showcases the complexity of the spirit by blending two different spirits from their 2 owned distilleries matured at a 3rd site. Yakushima Aging Cellar was established in 2016.
