Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique Cask Strength is an unique single malt whisky from Taiwan. This older expression is bottled as a limited single cask release (Cask Number: W120607001), with a total of 210 bottles.

Vinho Barrique Cask Strength series was awarded the title of World’s Best Single Malt Whisky in 2015. Fully matured in used American Oak wine barrels, it offers rich and fruity aromas with layers of vanilla, caramel, tropical fruits, and subtle hints of spice and oak. The influence of the wine cask adds a smooth and complex texture with a gentle sweetness. 

Tasting Notes from Distillery: Color: Deep autumn gold. Nose: A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars. Ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Palate: The taste ends with clean and complex flavours embodying all that is best in the finest malt whiskies and a long aftertaste.

Kavalan Solist Vinho is aged in the finest slow grown white oak which is air seasoned for two years. After soaking with some of the world's best wines the casks are hand crafted with a specially developed toasting and charring process in the distillery's own cooperage to bring out the flavours that characterise this fine whisky. Kavalan Solist Vinho is a perfect example of technology and art blended together in perfect harmony.

Kentucky Deluxe 8 Year Old 86 Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a vintage expression, bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV). While modern Kentucky Deluxe is primarily known as a budget‑friendly blended whiskey, this 8‑year‑old straight bourbon is a rarer “dusty” release, often dating back to the late 1980s or earlier.

This aged version is distinct from the contemporary, lower‑proof blended whiskey now sold under the same brand name. It was produced and bottled by Heaven Hill Brands (under various distillery names such as Deluxe Distilling Co.), making it a sought‑after piece of vintage Kentucky bourbon history.

The Loch Gorm 2019 Edition is a vatting of 20 oloroso sherry butts filled in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. Layers of stewed plums, pears and tropical fruit have become more defined in the casks as they age, complimenting the bold, spicy and rich character of early releases, creating a beautiful marriage of Kilchoman and oloroso sherry cask maturation. Limited to 15,000 bottles worldwide.

The 2020 limited release uses a combination of Optic/Publican barley grown in the fields next to the Kilchoman Distillery in Rockside on Islay in 2007, 2009 and 2010. This unique Single Farm Single Malt is the only whisky in Scotland to be produced entirely on one farm, from barley to bottle. The barley was then malted onsite and peated using local Islay peat before being distilled, matured and eventually bottled all within the farm distillery’s premises. Matured for a minimum of 9 years, this vatting of 39 bourbon barrels and 2 oloroso sherry casks delivers an intense combination of floral sweetness, layers of rich fruity character and soft maritime peat smoke. Limited to 12,400 bottles.

This is the 12th Edition of the 100% Islay release and distilled from 2011 - 2013 barley harvests (from the fields next to the distillery) and then matured in Bourbon Barrels and Oloroso Sherry butts for at least 8 years. This is a vatting of 29 Bourbon Barrels & 6 Oloroso Sherry Butts with 12,500 bottles being released. Nose: Elegant, sweet peat smoke, citrus and honey, vanilla and salted caramel. Palate: Green fruits, apple, pear. Light spice, raisin and toffee. Finish: Peat smoke returns and remains on the palate, oily, creamy balanced with toffee and caramelised sugar. 

The 100% Islay release is usually peated at 20 ppm with the entire production "from Barley to Bottle" taking place at the distillery on Islay itself (which is quite unique).

NOSE: Malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender, pear drops, sea salt and hints of peat smoke. PALATE: Fresh vanilla and fragrant peat smoke with caramel, barley blossom, sultanas and hints of spicy oak tannins. FINISH: Silky viscosity with fresh crumpets, butter and honey. Tasting Note: Nose: Vanilla, tropical fruits, fresh hay and toasted oak with grassy notes and salted butter. Palate: Milk chocolate, salted caramel and fresh peat smoke with candied citrus fruits, lemon, ripe pear, and hints of white pepper. This limited release has been matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, octaves and calvados casks. It exudes an abundance of juicy fresh fruits, intense sweetness and waves of Islay maritime peat smoke.

According to the founder of Kilchoman, Anthony Wills “..... I’m excited to announce the release of another age statement Kilchoman: the 13-year-old.

The ex-Bourbon casks make up a large part of the vatting, lending that unmistakable Kilchoman character, while the addition of Calvados casks, which may surprise a few people, infuses vibrant green apple and fresh fruit notes into the mix."

Tasting Note: Nose: Fragrant and delicate with bursting notes of fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sherbets. Palate: Herbaceous with undertones of dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn. Finish: Light and graceful with reminiscence of orchard fruits and zesty freshness.
