Cask: two types of sherry casks—Oloroso and Cream, shochu casks, new American white oak casks
Size: 700 ml
This limited edition from the Kanosuke Single Malt series highlights the distillery’s signature finesse through a rich marriage of Oloroso and Cream sherry casks. Crafted from whiskies distilled in three pot stills and matured in varied casks — including ex-shochu, sherry, bourbon, and red wine — it embodies the mellow yet complex Kanosuke style.
A touch of new American white oak adds brightness, while the influence of shochu casks lends a gentle Japanese “wa” spice. The result is an elegant balance of dark cherry aroma and fruit pound cake, unfolding into a smooth wave of tropical mangosteen and a serene seaside finish.
Color: Reddish Amber Aroma: Dark cherry, Vanilla, Nikki(Japanese cinnamon), Raspberry. Palate: Soft raisins, Dark chocolate, Cloves, Fruits pound cake. Finish: Tropical mangosteen, a subtle, oaky dryness lingering on the long finish. (Tasting Note from Distillery)

The label designed by Artist Saumya Bharati and titled “The Rainbow Girl” is the second in the collaborative series with the same Artist. The bright colors of the rainbow celebrate the transition between the clouds & the rain to the warmth of the sunlight shining through the water droplets in the sky and the joy this very moment brings to the girl. We hope that the transition from the visual experience, aroma and of flavours from the front, to the mid and the back of the palate bring a similar joy to whisky lovers. Kanpai!

“Kanpou” means Sweet Treasure. This Shochu is a “Koshu Genshu”, which means matured (for more than 3 years in tank and bottled at Cask Strength without any dilution. Typically the tank is topped up with new genshu every year and hence you can feel the harmony of the full taste of its rich aroma. The Key Ingredients are Kogane Sengan (Sweet Potato), Rice Koji (Black). A very nice velvety mouthfeel with intense sweet potato fruity flavours making it a perfect drink to enjoy on the rocks!
This bottling comes in a very attractive gift box as shown in the images.
