The Hibiki 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky received the Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge 2016. Hokuto was intially launched in 2004, but was discontinued since 2009/2010, despite it being a big success. This 12 year old pure malt consists of mostly Hakushu and perhaps some Yamazaki. Smooth and balanced, this was positioned as an "easy drinking whisky".
