This is the 2013 Release and it is estimated that about 1600 bottles were released.

This blended whisky has been named after a village called "Junenmyo", near the distillery.  The village had a vast canola field and produced lamp oil in the olden days. Sweet honey and vanilla combined with subtle smoke and cereal flavours on the palate. Very balanced.

Since closing in 2011, Karuizawa (once, the smallest whisky distillery in Japan), has gained significant interest over the last few years. Karuizawa Noh 31 Year Old is a rare single cask Japanese single malt whisky, distilled in 1981, matured in a sherry butt (cask no. 155), and bottled in 2013.  Only 595 bottles were released. Rated at 92.95 Points on Whiskybase.
