Slight nick on the front box. Please also note the level of the Whisky. Sold in "As Is" Condition.

The Sestante import company, established around the 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi (who previously worked for Pinerolo Import well known for its Macallan imports into Italy), usually bottled at ABVs of 40-46% bottlings and cask strength releases from the same casks. Along with Silver Seal (another brand established by him), Mainardi's bottlings are incredibly sought after.

A collaboration between the acclaimed graphic artist and Bowmore’s Master Blender this bottling pays homage to a legend, the Devil which has shaped the village of Bowmore. After the initial maturation in American oak hogsheads the liquid continued its journey into Essencia® barriques, a rare ‘Rose Oak’ dating back to the 1830s, to bring an exceptionally deep, powerful and distinctive character to the fore. 

Aroma of incense, beeswax and a struck match transport the senses to Bowmore’s round church. The unmistakable notes of Bowmore’s subtle peat smoke, brine and oak linger on the finish, tempting the soul. (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

Only 251 bottles were released. Nose: Fresh green fruits, pear, crunchy apple, caramel, honey and plums Taste: Initial sweetness is balanced with fruity plum and some hot spices Finish: Spices, hint of cardamom and black tea with a warming finish (medium- long).

"On the EYE rich mahogany, BREATHE in sherry & stewed fruits with a trace of smokiness. SIP delicious toffee & hazelnut with a a hint of sweet peat smoke. SAVOUR the mellow, gentle and complex finish."

Hazelburn is a triple distilled, non peated single malt whisky produced at the Springbank Distillery. This Hazelburn 21 Years Old has been matured in 70% Sherry Cask and 30% Bourbon Cask. Released in 2022 with 3600 bottles only. 

Fruity and spicy with dried fruits, tobacco and varnished wood. Along side there is some charcoal, grassy moss and a harmonious bunch of dark fruits, indicative of the Sherry Cask component though some lemon/citrus notes keep wafting in and out.

This is a part of the 5 special releases under the Artist Series for Spirits & Wisdom (S&W) Gallery in Taiwan. The 5 part Artist Series includes five carefully selected single-cask whiskeys which are combined with the work of five representative artists in Taiwan. For the fifth (S&W #005) and final release they have chosen a 31 Years Old Whisky from the Dufftown Distillery in Speyside. This cask was selected under Diageo's Cask of Distinction program which represents some of their rarest and exclusive stock of Whisky Casks and combined with the original work of world-class calligrapher Mr. Wu Jiru - making this a very rare bottling indeed.

Matured in a Single American Oak Cask Cask No. 14536 this Whisky from Dufftown Distillery has been bottled after 31 Years at Natural Cask Strength. Filled on 15 December 1988 and bottled in 2020 only 219 bottles were released. Nose: Ripe fruit, vanilla, lime, honey, fruit jelly Palate: rose dew, subtle sweetness, liqorice guava, southern almonds (Tasting Notes from Bottler)

A 21-year-old bottle of Springbank presented in a dumpy bottle for Italian importer Consorzio Vinicolo. Estimated to be bottled in the 1980s, this bottling offers sherry sweet and fruity flavours with some notes of vanilla and old rum, long and spicy finish. Scored 5 stars on Whiskyfun (91 points).

A rare and old 21 year old bottling of Springbank, which was likely bottled in the early to mid 2000s at 46% ABV without any colouring and no chill filteration. Blackadder Inchgower 20 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was independently bottled by Blackadder as Raw Cask Statement Edition No. 12 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. Distilled in July 1995 and bottled in September 2015 after 20 years in a single sherry butt, it was released at 57.6% ABV (cask strength) without chill filtration or without addition of any colouring. The Raw Cask series also tends to have natural cask sediment since the whisky is not heavily filtered. 582 bottles were produced. Bottle number for reference only.

The sherry maturation adds an old-school depth to Inchgower’s salty, maritime character. Rated highly on Whiskybase at +87.

A 2003 Vintage Single Cask #5553 special bottling from the GlenDronach distillery, matured for 11 years in an Oloroso Sherry Puncheon Cask for Whisky Live Tokyo 2015 and bottled as non chill filtered and natural color at an impressive 57.7% ABV.

Nose: golden syrup with a hint of cinnamon and toasted oak develops to apricots with a touch of vanilla. Appearance: Bright antique gold. Palate: Richly stewed orchard fruits and vanilla with a touch of white pepper. Boiled sweets and gentle liquorice notes appears in the long finish. (Producer's Tasting notes).

Nose: Golden black pepper combined with prune syrup, cocoa and subtle hints of vanilla and orange blossom. Appearance: Polished cherry wood. Palate: Crisp oak and orange bitters flood through dark chocolate and cedar wood add a warming spiced finish. (Producer's Tasting notes).
