This is a Limited Edition of Machir Bay bottled at Cask Strength of 58.3% ABV using the same vatting recipe as the traditional Machir Bay bottling to appreciate the full power and character of Kilchoman's core range.

Nose: Opens with light, fruity notes influenced by our distillation. Being cask strngth, allows for intense waves of fresh green apple followed by candied tropical fruits. Lasting hints of dry, earthy peat smoke become the backbone for this  release. Palate: Noticeably power at cask strength allowing for a concentrated palate combining citrus notes of lemon and orange peel. As the whisky opens it reveals a dominant honeycomb-sweetness that makes way for a profile driven by milk chocolate, provided by a Bourbon-rich maturation. Finish: A slight cracking black pepper spice combined with nutmeg. The oily, rich texture of this whisky delivers an increasingly smoky influence. A limited release in 2017 as a part of the distillery’s 200th year celebration, this Teaninich Whisky was distilled before the distillery underwent significant expansion. Matured in refill American oak hogsheads and Sherry Butts filled in1999. This bottling captures the older style of Distillery. The initial sweetness and citrus fruits gives way to some herbal and grassy notes along with some toffee and apple. 5352 Bottles were released. Rated 87+ across 115+ votes on Whiskybase.

Ardbeg 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the peatiest and most complex whiskies globally. It balances intense peat with the natural sweetness of malt. On the palate, it offers crackling peat, tangy citrus, black pepper, and cinnamon-spiced toffee, alongside briny notes of buttermilk, ripe bananas, and currants. A limited release for 2022, the Kilchoman Casado (Portuguese for marriage) is matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were married together for 2 years in two 6,000 litre Portuguese red wine vats. 

Nose: Smoke comes first and balanced with ripe stone fruits: peach, plum and cherry. Palate: Pepper and spice at first taste. Dry, salty peat smoke with apricot and lemon. Finish: Long finish with spices, the cooked fruit notes bring a sweet-jam balanced with Kilchoman smoke.

Ballantine's Finest range of blended whiskies was then described as - “Ballantine’s Finest is the oldest recipe in the current range, created in 1910 by the Ballantine’s family. There are more than 40 malts and grains in this blend. These are carefully selected from 4 different iconic Scottish regions.”

Color: Bright gold. Imbued from four varieties of oak. Nose: Bold peat smoke with notes of stewed fruit and warm, toasted vanilla. An old presentation (released around 2013) bottle of "The Balvenie 30 Year Old", crafted by malt master David Stewart by vatting Whisky matured in traditional and European oak casks. In our opinion this is indeed a masterpiece and showcases the skills of the malt master in creating a beautifully balanced and impressive aged whisky bottled at a higher ABV of 47.3%. Rich dark chocolate, hints of plum, marzipan and caramelized pear.

This series has been a Gold Medal winner at the 2004 IWSC and the 2013 release won a Gold Outstanding at the IWSC and Best Speyside Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2013.
