Mars Tsunuki distillery is the second distillery of the Hombo Shuzo Group, launched in 2016. This is the 2023 release by the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima (where with a wide range of temperatures and blessed with high quality spring water from the Mt. Kurata mountain), with a release of 35,800 bottles. This is the 4th product release of single malt whisky distilled at Tsunuki (The Second Release of the Annual 'Year Edition').
Matured in the bourbon barrels for about 6 years. Nose: Marmalade jam along with sweet notes of honey, pancake, and a subtle smoke Palate: Citrus fruits, lemon peel and fresh malt Finish: Full-bodied sweetness balanced by a pleasant bitterness.

The distillery uses high-quality barley from three family-owned farms in New Zealand's fertile South Island. This meticulous selection process, coupled with slow fermentation, distillation, and careful maturation in first-fill casks, gives Pōkeno Whisky its distinctive character.
This Single Cask was distilled on 30 April 2019 and bottled on 10 August 2022. After a full maturation in a first fill bourbon barrel this Single Cask was finished in a PX Sherry Butt from Miguel Martin, for a period of 6 months. A limited release of 880 bottles.
Nose: Rich and inviting aromas of ripe cherries, Christmas cake, and dark chocolate. Palate: A harmonious blend of sweet citrus and vanilla, complemented by the rich sherry influences. A rare old bottling from Highland Park distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1998 to celebrate the Bicentenary (200 golden years from 1798 to 1998) of the distillery. A very popular bottling when released and a rare bottle of whisky which is difficult to find.
Originally about 12000 bottles are estimated to have been released with a further 690 bottles released in 2008 (these 690 bottles were originally set aside apparently for samples and tasting but were "forgotten" and eventually found and released for the Japanese market with a slightly different wooden box).

THE HACHI SHOCHU, Rice (KOME KASU), Cask Matured is a collaboration with Nakamoto Sake Brewery Co.,Ltd, located in Nara, Japan and with a history dating back to 1727. Traditionally producing Junmai, Junmai Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjo the fermentation rice mash that remains after after the Sake has been pressed out from the Moromi is called Kome Kasu aka Sake Kasu. A usual by-product of the Sake brewing process with an ABV of about 8-13% the Kasu is then single distilled (making it a Honkaku Shochu) under vacuum pressure to retain the flavours of the underlying ingredient KOME (Rice) and then matured for about 7 years in a Refill Virgin Oak Cask to add layers of complexity to the original spirit. Come and enjoy this special bottling with Hacchan. Color: Very Light Straw/Pale Yellow. Nose: A sweet aroma of freshly cooked Japanese rice, mochi cream, fresh green apple, tropical fruits such as melon, guava, banana with undertones of honeycomb and grapefruit. Palate: Initial sweetness, fresh vanilla, honey reminding us of the oak maturation balanced with fresh apricots, sour plums and dark chocolate to finish. Reminiscent of a fruity and dry sake. The flavours of KOME (Rice) are very much present along with the additional layers of flavours from cask maturation.
Recommended way to Drink: Straight Up, On the Rocks or as a Highball (3 parts of sparkling water to 1 part The Hachi Shochu).

Tamras Gin starts its journery with the highest quality Neutral Grain Spirit distilled from the finest Punjab Rice in India. The botanicals are carefully sourced and distilled in their small-batch 230 litre Müeller Copper Still, "Odysseus". The traditional method of using a Copper Still ensures an ultra-refined liquid, and a smooth mouth-feel with delicate flavours kept intact.
The botanicals are distilled in groups as individual distillates in a recipe defined by the Master Distiller from Germany - Julia Nourney. The individual distillate route allows them to use whole fruit citrus harvested only in winter and distill more delicate botanicals like Nilgiri Tea and Indian Mint at their own speed uncompromised by the presence of other botanicals. The distillates are left to rest. No sugar, artificial flavours or essences are added. Every drop of Neutral Grain Spirit is redistilled. The distillates are married together for slow dilution with filtered water over 28 days. Slow-dilution ensures a more integrated and harmonious flavour. Finally, Tāmras Gin is bottled and labelled at the distillery in Goa itself ready to enjoy in your favourite cocktail or just neat.
Botanicals include Juniper Berries, Corriander Seeds, Lotus Flowers, Lotus Seeds, Mausambi, Indian Lemon, Grapefruit, Nilgiri Tea, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Fennel Seeds, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cubeb Peppers, Lemon Verbena.

Triple Distillation helps to concentrate not only the alcohol in the whisky, but also helps create lighter, more fruity flavours. Having only two stills, we performed the final two distillations in our 3600 litre spirit still, separating the hearts from the heads and tails each time. Totara is the indigenous tree that built Aotearoa. From the arrival of Maori, the timber from this tree was used to build waka, homes, carvings, weapons and containers for storing food. After a full maturation in first fill bourbon casks, we have transferred the whisky to the totara barrels for a second maturation period.
