In 1968, George S Grant decided to bottle a cask of Glenfarclas at natural strength as a christmas gift for family & friends. The strength of that single cask was 105 British Proof - and Glenfarclas 105 was born!  "Strong, rich oak with big powerful aromas reminding us of Demerara sugar, figs and Christmas cake, chocolate covered coffee beans and lots of fruit brandy flavours"

This Speyside Single Malt Whisky from the Aberlour distillery is "double matured" i.e. a vatting of whiskies matured for 12 years in American oak and Spanish Sherry Oak. Soft and rounded with apples on the nose, the taste is sweet sherry, toffee and spice like cinnamon and ginger. A lingering finish with sweet and warm spice.

A new addition to the Dalmore range, this is a different release than the usual 12 Year old from Dalmore. Matured in ex-bourbon casks for about ten years and further "finished" for about 24 months in a combination of American & European casks from 3 different Andalucian cooperages (Tevasa, Vasyma, Paez) bringing together the influence of a variety of Sherry including Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. Nose: Caramelised orange, ginger and sultanas, laced with honey Palate: Dark chocolate and crushed almonds with a dusting of cinnamon Finish: Sweet mango, pannacotta and lemon sponge cake (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

This rare whisky is a fantastic vatting by Mr. Ichiro Akuto, from two single casks from two lost distilleries, a Hanyu 1990 vintage and a Kawasaki 1982 vintage. This is a special bottling to celebrate the 27th Anniversary of the Kiyosato Field Ballet.

Kawasaki distillery was owned by Mercian Corporation, also the owners of the Karuizawa Distillery, which focused on Malt whisky, while Kawasaki focused on Grain whisky. Located in Kawasaki Prefecture between Tokyo and Yokohama, Kawasaki Distillery used 90% corn and 10% malted barley in Refill Sherry Butts and Demerara Rum casks. Mercian became a part of Kirin Holdings in the 2000s and Karuizawa and Kawasaki were both closed. After being closed, most of inventory of casks were stored in the Yamanashi warehouse and bought by Mr. Ichiro Akuto in 2006.

Aged in an Old Sherry Butt #105036 for 12 years, this is a rare single cask and one of the oldest aged releases in recent times from this small distillery in Japan (White Oak Distillery). 480 bottles were released in late 2020.  This is a rich, sherry cask matured whisky with dry figs, raisins and prunes, with a hint of spices and chocolate.

A rare and vintage Speyside single malt whisky from Strathisla distillery, is distilled in 1965, matured in First-fill sherry Puncheon #3474 and bottled by Gordon & Macphail in 2016. Tasting notes from G&M: "This expression of Strathisla is sweet and fresh with hints of beeswax, ripe gooseberries and aniseed. On the palate creamy with toffee, ripe summer fruits and a subtle hint of charred wood."

Nose: Wood smoke, cardamon and dark berries with waves of caramel and fudge sweetness Palate: Raisins, figs and poached pears give way to mixed spices, barbequed bacon and maritime peat smoke Finish: Layers of chocolate, stoned fruits and warming peat smoke. Tasting notes from Distillery.

Matured in casks made of Japanese Mizunara Oak, which is considered to be hard to work with. Mizunara Oak gives a distinctive coconut and sandalwood flavour to the whisky. Malt Advocate 19th Annual Awards: Best Japanese Whisky of the Year. This is the 2013 Release and it is estimated that about 1600 bottles were released.
