This is from an old presentation bottle of The Balvenie 30 Year Old, crafted by malt master David Stewart by vatting Whisky matured in traditional and European oak casks. In our opinion this is a masterpiece and showcases the skills of the malt master in creating a beautifully balanced and impressive aged whisky bottled at a higher ABV of 47.3%. Rich dark chocolate, hints of plum, marzipan and caramelized pear.

Released in 2012, this was the first of the Valhalla Collection/Series. 23,000 bottles were released. The Valhalla Collection captures Orkney's historical Scandinavian connections with Thor representing the Norse God of Thunder and supposedly the creator of the Cliffs of Yesnaby on Orkney's west coast. A great cask strength 16 year old malt bottling and presented in a wooden frame inspired by a viking long boat! Increasingly difficult to find.
