A vatting of Chichibu, Hanyu and several other world whiskies vatted in a rather unique Ovum (egg) - shaped cask made from French Oak, shaped in the Charentes region by the Taransaud Company. 

As we would expect, sweet wine notes, red berries with some spiciness on the nose and a palate which reminds us of fresh apples, caramel sweetness, mild spices and some light tannins. A medium long dry finish with some subtle chocolate bitterness.

This limited release has been matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, octaves and calvados casks. It exudes an abundance of juicy fresh fruits, intense sweetness and waves of Islay maritime peat smoke.

According to the founder of Kilchoman, Anthony Wills “..... I’m excited to announce the release of another age statement Kilchoman: the 13-year-old.

The ex-Bourbon casks make up a large part of the vatting, lending that unmistakable Kilchoman character, while the addition of Calvados casks, which may surprise a few people, infuses vibrant green apple and fresh fruit notes into the mix."

Tasting Note: Nose: Fragrant and delicate with bursting notes of fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sherbets. Palate: Herbaceous with undertones of dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn. Finish: Light and graceful with reminiscence of orchard fruits and zesty freshness. Mar "Yakushima Aging" Blended Malt Japanese Whisky is a special release honoring the 30th anniversary of Yakushima's designation as a World Natural Heritage site. Available in December 2023, this blended malt was created from the malt whiskies 'Komagatake' and 'Tsunuki' both of which are a part of Hombo Shuzo, aged at the Yakushima Aging Cellar. It features vibrant fruity aromas that capture the essence of Yakushima.

Kilchoman 14 Year Old Ex-Sherry “20th Anniversary Cask Series” is a limited-edition, one of two 14-year expressions celebrating 20 years of Kilchoman distillery operations. It was distilled in 2011 and fully matured for 14 years in five first-fill ex-sherry butts (cask nos. 145, 146, 148, 149, and 150), imparting intense notes of dates, spices, and chocolate alongside Kilchoman’s signature coastal, peaty style. A total of 3,145 bottles were released worldwide, with approximately 20 ppm phenols.

Tasting Note: Nose: Fresh and spicy with bold BBQ smoke, black pepper, and rich dried fruits. Palate: Intense, with warming spices and dried dates on the palate. A touch dark chocolate and herbal liquorice balancing the spice. Finish: Long and full of flavour, with lingering sweet spices, rich BBQ meats and subtle integrated peat smoke. (From the Distillery)

Tasting Note: Nose: Soft with a peppery spice, rich sherry sweetness, and a hint of salty, briny notes. Palate: Rounded and rich in character, with a peppery kick, sherry soaked dark fruits, and a gentle smokiness bringing a savoury, briny character. Finish: Viscous and warming, with rich fruits, salty dark chocolate, and a lasting balance of sweetness and smoke. (From the Distillery)

This bottling has been at the forefront of growth of Japanese Whisky. This Single Malt Whisky from Suntory has been winning several awards from the early years of 2003, 2010 - ISC Gold; 2009, 2013 - SWSC Double Gold, 2011 - IWSC Gold (best in class). With a beautiful golden hue, the palate brings out fresh tropical fruits, spices such as cloves & cinnamon, a hint of coconut (perhaps coming from the Mizunara Oak matured components of this whisky) with a long finish.

A fully sherry cask matured whisky from Balvenie, which is unusual. Each bottle is part of a batch which comprises a few hundred bottles coming from a single cask and hence likely to somewhat different than the other batch while retaining the characteristics of Balvenie's spirit and flavours of rich sherry oak, dried fruits and subtle spices overlaid with a soft nuttiness and a nice long finish.

The label has been designed by Artist Kenro Shinchi of Koshikishima island in Kagoshima, Japan to capture the art of Sado. Nose: Mixed fruits, liquorice, citrus and sweet smoke Palate: Orange, spice and christmas cake, with warmest peat smoke and dark chocolate Finish: long with lingering sweet smoke and cooked fruits. "Sado - The Guest". This is a Single Cask (#129/2013) bottling exclusively for Mizunara, Hong Kong. Bottled in November 2020 with 254 bottles released, this has been matured in a fresh bourbon barrel for nearly seven years and then finished in a Pedro Ximenez hogshead for over ten months. A Nose of citrus fruits and raisins and a Palate of mixed fruits, salted caramel and dry spice with peat smoke at the back end, the Finish is long with rich fruits, lots of spices like cloves and cardamom along with dry smoke. 

This bottling represents a continuation of the story of SADO, from Mizunara's previous Single Cask bottling (767/2011 label focusing on the HOST) and this time around focuses on the GUEST, both of whom share mutual respect during a Japanese Tea Ceremony ("SADO"). The label for both the bottles were designed by Kenro Shinchi, an artist based out of Koshikishima Island in Kagoshima, Japan.

The second release from the Kanosuke Distillery located on the picturesque shores of Fukiagehama beach in Kagoshima. Distilled from unpeated malt in 2018, this release is largely matured in first fill re-charred ex-bourbon barrels for about 3+ years. About 5,000 bottles have been released at a cask strength ABV of 57%. 

Color: Amber Nose: Citrus, Vanilla, Honey and Lemon Tea Palate:  Grapefruit with some cinnamon sweetness Finish: A balance of sweet fresh fruits, vanilla and dark chocolate bitterness.
