Glansa is an adjective meaning shining storm-laden skies in Old Norse - a reference to the temperamental weather on the island. The original signature smooth fruity single malt aged in American Oak has been further rested in peated casks resulting in rich notes of warm heather honey, soft fruits giving way to a subtle smoky finish. (Tasting Notes from the Producer) For now it is the first peated release from this Orcadian distillery. This is from batch GL07 with 22 bottle release in total.

Matured for 12 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, this 12 year bottling is named after the smallest of their six copper stills, named "The Wee Witchie".

Mortlach's unique and precise 2.81 times distillation technique which is 0.81 more than the usual Scotch standard has also given it the reputation as the "Beast of Dufftown". Matured for 16 years entirely only in ex-sherry casks, this 16 year bottling is called the "Distiller's Dram". Oban Distillers Edition releases have won Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2008 and 2011. It also won International Wine and Spirit Competition Gold in 2002 and 2010 (Best in Class). In 2020, it won a third Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Laphroaig Cairdeas Feis Ile 2017 is matured in a Quarter Cask and bottled at Cask Strength. A Quarter Cask as the name implies is a smaller (quarter of the original Barrel) cask which results in increased contact bewteen whisky and wood and an active maturation and intense flavours. Nose:  A characteristic Laphroaig with minerals, peat smoke and oak spices balanced with subtle fruits Palate: Peat smoke with spices again with peppery notes and salty notes intertwines with malty sweetness Finish: a strong finish with hints of salty notes, green fruits and lingering sweetness.

This is the 2021 release of the popular Hazelburn 10 Years Old from Springbank. The first release in 2014 got 90 points in Whiskyfun.

Using Springbank's triple distilled unpeated spirit and matured in Bourbon cask for 10 years. Nose: minerals, pear, fresh honey and vanilla. Palate: Oily, citrus fruit and a fresh mouth feel Finish: Oily and chewy in medium length.

This whisky is a 2021 release single malt whisky from Mitchell’s Glengyle distillery, this is a lightly peated malt which has been aged in a combination of bourbon casks (about 70%) and sherry casks (about 30%). Re-opened in 2004 after being closed for almost 80 years, the Glengyle distillery finally came back to the Mitchell family (owners of Springbank) in 2000. 

Nose: oak notes are dominant, followed by toasted marshmallows and dried fruit pudding, as well as cherries, marzipan and a hint of peat Palate: initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, after this: vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuits can all be tasted and enjoyed Finish: velvet and smooth with lemon meringue, to conclude, there’s an oiliness and a saltiness that you’d expect from a Campbeltown dram (Tasting Notes from the Distillery).

The sixth official release from Kilchoman (i.e. one of the earlier bottlings) is a vatting of three year old and four year old whisky from first fill and refill bourbon casks with the four year old finished in sherry casks for about a month. Lots of smoke, iodine, and salty notes with hints of oloroso in the background. A great bottling to taste a Kilchoman from its early days.
