This single malt from Clynelish Distillery has been bottled exclusively for the friends of the classic malts in 2009. Matured in European oak cask for 12 years and bottled without any chill filtering. Whiskyfun comments .... "very good and rather more ‘freshly’ fruity than other young Clynelishes. Maybe a little less ‘old Highlands’ than usual." Whiskyfun rating 85 Points (full review here).

This is the core expression from the Clynelish Distillery (successor to the now-silent Brora and built opposite the original distillery). A very well balanced and enjoyable single malt, which is unpeated/very lighty peated and a flavour profile with characteristic waxy notes. Color: Gold Nose: floral, fresh green fruits like apple and pear followed by waxy honey, some mineral notes and tangerine and vanilla Palate: rich body which delivers more than the stated ABV but easy sip on the palate with slight waxiness, honey sweetness, toffee, orange and some subtle oak Finish: reasonably long with intermittent bitter sweet notes, some oak spices and pepper.

This is a single cask #10198 from Clyenlish matured in bourbon hogshead for 21 years and bottled by Kingsbury at Cask Strength under its "Celtic Labels". Kingsbury has been one of the most sought after Independent Bottlers with its roots in Japan.

Nose: Honey with candied citrus fruit and bees wax Palate: The texture is firm and clean with big bold fruits present along with vanilla. Adding water enhances the notes. Finish: some sea salt and a whiff of smoke. 

 Rated 90+ on Whiskybase. Only 245 bottles were released.

This independent bottling of Clyenlish Single Malt Whisky was matured in a single sherry cask for about 17 years. A joint bottling between Spirit Shop Selection in Taiwan and Sansibar in Germany with 308 bottles being released.

This is a Single Cask #7107 from Clynelish matured in a Hogshead for 18 years. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016 at a Cask Strength ABV of 52% by Kingsbury under its "Celtic Labels". Kingsbury has been one of the most sought after Independent Bottlers with its roots in Japan.

Nose: coffee and bitter orange. Palate: a rich mouthfeel with some dried fruit, nuts and marmalade Finish: warming, complex whisky with a dry finish and a slightly salty ending. Rated 89+ on Whiskybase. A total of 242 bottles were released.

A very Rare Single Cask of Clynelish (under the Cask of Distinction* program of Diageo) distilled in 1997 and bottled on 15th October 2018 with only 405 bottles being released. This whisky has been matured in Cask No. 7555, an ex-Sherry Butt ad bottled exclusively for Boyao Zhao (a well-known Chinese whiskey connoisseur, who has also launched a variety of other Cask of Distinction series including Lagavulin, Talisker, Port Ellen and Brora etc).

*The Cask of Distinction is Diageo's private sale program whereby individual casks (generally quite rare & special) from Diageo’s extensive stocks in Scotland are sold to private individuals. Usually selected by a team of whisky experts under guidance from Master Blender Dr. Craig Wilson, these casks tend to be very unique and incredibly rare.

The Glasgow Blend by Compass Box, introduced in 2014, is a full-bodied blended Scotch whisky composed of 33% Lowland grain and 67% malt whisky from the Highlands, Speyside, and Islay. It ages in a mix of first-fill and refill ex-bourbon barrels, first-fill Sherry casks, and a small portion in new French oak, resulting in a flavor profile rich in sherried fruit and peaty notes. The label features The Wellington Statue, topped with a traffic cone, symbolizing Glasgow's sense of humor.

Tasting Note from distillery: Full, bold and smoky on the palate, Glasgow Blend unites the rich spice and fruitcake-like notes of Sherry cask ageing with the maritime punch of Islay malt whisky.

Comte de Lafitte Armagnac is a high-quality spirit from the Armagnac region of France, renowned for its traditional production methods and distinctive character. It is crafted with meticulous care, reflecting the unique terroir and vintage nature of Armagnac. Each vintage expresses its own style, influenced by factors such as climate, soil, grape variety, and aging techniques.

The Armagnac is aged in oak barrels, which impart rich notes of dried fruit, patisserie, vanilla, and subtle spice. It offers elegant complexity with aromas of dried fruits, light oak, and hints of warm spices. The brandy is typically bottled at 40% ABV and sealed with wax featuring the Domaine Lafitte seal, which symbolizes its authenticity and craftsmanship.

Comte de Lafitte specializes in producing vintage Armagnacs, each batch showcasing its unique personality and balance, ranging from lighter and more volatile aromas to richer and more intense profiles. These eaux-de-vie are suited for sipping neat and appreciated by connoisseurs for their depth and elegance.

Size: 720 ml / 1800 ml

Satsuma "Masari" Imo (Sweet Potato) and Shiro Kome Koji (White Rice Yumetoiro from Kirishima) are fermented with "Kagoshima fragrance Yeast #1" to produce intense flavour compounds oils, esters and aroma. This mash is then vacuum distilled (in contrast to the usual atmospheric distillation) to preserve some of these clean and unique flavors. Isoamyl acetate is a component that leads to an aroma of banana and melon, and " Cool Mint Green " is characterized by showing a considerably higher value of this component than the normal Imo Shochu. Distillation method: Vacuum distillation

A very tropical drink with fruity notes of banana and dairy cream/yogurt, red berries which should be enjoyed with sparkling water.

Size: 700 ml

An important component of blends since the 1920s, Cragganmore represents the Speyside region within Diageo's Classic Malts selection. A fragrant aroma combined with slight fruitiness on the palate overlaid with sweet, smoky notes and a hint of sandalwood (Tasting Notes from Producer).

Cragganmore continues to utilize the Worm Tubs condenser, a method that is relatively difficult to manage and less efficient than modern column condensers. Nevertheless, whiskey making is a traditional craft, and for serious whisky aficionados, maintaining some of these classic techniques is important—whether out of genuine appreciation for the heritage or for promotional purposes.

Additionally, it’s interesting to note that the original Cragganmore whiskey was once a key ingredient in the blends of Grand Old Parr and White Horse.
