The core expression from the Yamazaki Distillery, this Distiller's Reserve showcases the balance between the various casks used in the vatting for this bottling including sherry casks and mizunara oak. A golden hue with fresh fruits on the nose, a palate of raspberry, white peach and coconut and finish of spices such as cinnamon.

This Yamazaki single malt is one of Yamazaki 2020 limited edition series released in Nov. 2020. The Puncheon Casks,  coopered by Suntory are larger than the usual ex-bourbon barrels sized at 480 litres and made of high quality American oak. Due to the larger size and hence low contact ratio of puncheons, the maturation is slower and brings about a complexity and richness which highlights the true flavours of the spirit itself.
