斯卡帕

Scapa 釀酒廠於 1885 年開業，旨在迎合當時不斷增長的混合威士忌市場，並經營了一個世紀，許多其他釀酒廠也經歷了一些所有權變更。從1934年起沉寂了約2年，1959年重建。曾被認為最長發酵時間為120小時，後縮短至約70小時左右。他們獨特的Lomond 風格劇照（桶形琴頸）最初設計於 1950 年代，但此後經歷了一些設計變更。

Glansa is an adjective meaning shining storm-laden skies in Old Norse - a reference to the temperamental weather on the island. The original signature smooth fruity single malt aged in American Oak has been further rested in peated casks resulting in rich notes of warm heather honey, soft fruits giving way to a subtle smoky finish. (Tasting Notes from the Producer) For now it is the first peated release from this Orcadian distillery.
