Pōkeno Whisky stands as the largest whisky distillery and the only cooperage in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Pōkeno Prohibition Porter Single Cask is a collaboration with Liberty Brewing (a Beer producer located not too far from Pokeno) and has been first matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and then finished for 9 months in porter beer barrels which had been first used to mature Pokeno Whisky, then sent to Liberty for their Beer and then re-sent to Pokeno for the finishing. A limited release of 365 bottles worldwide.

Pokeno Exploration Series Totara Cask Finish New Zealand Single Malt Whisky. Totara is the indigenous tree that built Aotearoa. From the arrival of Maori, the timber from this tree was used to build waka, homes, carvings, weapons and containers for storing food. After a full maturation in first fill bourbon casks, we have transferred the whisky to the totara barrels for a second maturation period.
