宮城峽日本威士忌

宮城峽釀酒廠成立於1969年。當時，正孝偶然發現了一片美麗的霧氣瀰漫的峽谷，它被北面的山脈環繞，位於兩條清澈河流的交匯處。他曾品嚐過其中一條河流的水，也就是如今的源頭，並深受感動，立即決定在那裡建造釀酒廠。除了獨特的風土條件外，宮城峽獨特的蒸餾方法也創造了獨特的麥芽威士忌。他採用了與餘市不同的技術，正是這種獨特的蒸餾方法，賦予了宮城峽單一麥芽威士忌柔和的花香。

A rich and very balanced for the age, with toasted coffee beans, spices, floral notes this is an excellent whisky. The sherry cask influence comes through beautifully. Again sadly discontinued.

One of the Key Malt bottlings from Miyagikyo, this is the older and aged version which is now discontinued.  The Key Malts represent the various styles of Whisky (in this case Malty & Soft) which are produced at Nikka Distilleries and are included in the vatting of the various other Single Malts and Blends released by Nikka. Now a rare find.

Fresh citrus and stewed fruits. Very crisp, fresh and enjoyable and a great entry to the aged whiskies from this distillery located in Sendai in Northern Japan. Sadly discontinued and a rarity. This bottling (estimated from around 2000s) label spells "Miyagikyou" on its label and is an earlier version of the 10 Year Old bottling with "Miyagikyo" on its label.
