拉弗格艾雷島單一麥芽蘇格蘭威士忌

始於 1815 年，當時唐納德和亞歷山大約翰斯頓兄弟從艾雷島領主那裡租用了 1000 英畝的土地，這片土地現在被稱為 Laphroaig。 1954 年，貝西·威廉姆森 (Bessie Williamson) 成為唯一一位擁有和經營威士忌酒廠的女性掌舵。在他離開期間，她曾是前任所有者的秘書和事實上的經理。

1994 年，查爾斯王子授予拉弗格單一麥芽威士忌皇家認證，同年拉弗格之友也成立了。 2014 年，拉弗格的所有者 Beam Global 被日本三得利集團收購。

拉弗格除了甜甜的柑橘味外，還有一種獨特的焦油碘味，這可能源於他們偏愛的木桶類型，即大部分成熟過程中使用的前波旁酒桶。
