"Rindo" is the first release of Mars's Nature of Shinshu range and refers to one of the types of flower which grows near the distillery. Distilled in 2012 and launched at The Tokyo Whisky Festival 2015, It is a combination of Ex-Bourbon, Sherry and Japanese Wine Cask at an  ABV 52%. It reportedly has some 20 year-old component whisky within the vatting as well.

Fresh citrus and stewed fruits. Very crisp, fresh and enjoyable and a great entry to the aged whiskies from this distillery located in Sendai in Northern Japan. Sadly discontinued and a rarity. This bottling (estimated from around 2000s) label spells "Miyagikyou" on its label and is an earlier version of the 10 Year Old bottling with "Miyagikyo" on its label.

A discontinued "old dumpy" bottling of Komagatake Malt Whisky aged for 10 years, which has been finished in wine casks. This pure malt whisky has been aged for over a year in casks that previously held the highest grade red wine from the "Hosaka Hinokuni" brand of Mars Shinshu Distillery. The whisky features a calm sherry aroma with soft notes reminiscent of cherries and other red fruits.
