The Balvenie Founder’s Reserve is a classic 10 year old Single Malt Scotch whisky which was created by The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, from a marriage of bourbon and sherry casks. Originally launched since the early 1980s, the Founder’s Reserve is now discontinued.
On the nose, The Balvenie Founder’s Reserve is rich and complex with honey and orange notes and just a hint of peat. Its taste is full-bodied honeyed sweetness, with light spicy notes and a hint of sherry fruitiness. Its finish is long with a pleasant lingering richness (Distillery Tasting Notes).
