Matured in American Ex-Bourbon and Spanish Ex-Sherry casks, this 35 Year Old whisky from Old Pulteney is the Limited Edition First Release of 2014 with a total outturn of about 1350 bottles. The exquisite wooden box packaging is a clear reminder of the Distillery's maritime heritage. "Honeyed sweetness, exotic spices and citrus is followed by fruit cake and bitter chocolate. Over time gentle undertones open up with hints of fresh vanilla and sticky toffee pudding. Sweet and spicy and quickly develops a range of signature Old Pulteney flavours from honey, rum soaked raisins and Californian oranges to the heavier notes of seasoned leather, pralines and a touch of the salty North Sea air. The 100% Islay 13th Edition was distilled from 2012, 2013 and 2014 barley harvests before being matured for 44 bourbon barrels for a minimum of 8 years. This unique Single Farm Single Malt is the only whisky in Scotland to be produced entirely on one farm, from barley to bottle. The barley was then malted onsite and peated using local Islay peat before being distilled, matured and eventually bottled all within the farm distillery’s premises. Limited to 13,000 bottles. Awarded 95 Points at IWSC 2022 (Gold Medal Winner).
NOSE: Malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender, pear drops, sea salt and hints of peat smoke. PALATE: Fresh vanilla and fragrant peat smoke with caramel, barley blossom, sultanas and hints of spicy oak tannins. FINISH: Silky viscosity with fresh crumpets, butter and honey. This whisky is a 2021 release single malt whisky from Mitchell’s Glengyle distillery, this is a lightly peated malt which has been aged in a combination of bourbon casks (about 70%) and sherry casks (about 30%). Re-opened in 2004 after being closed for almost 80 years, the Glengyle distillery finally came back to the Mitchell family (owners of Springbank) in 2000.
Nose: oak notes are dominant, followed by toasted marshmallows and dried fruit pudding, as well as cherries, marzipan and a hint of peat Palate: initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, after this: vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuits can all be tasted and enjoyed Finish: velvet and smooth with lemon meringue, to conclude, there’s an oiliness and a saltiness that you’d expect from a Campbeltown dram (Tasting Notes from the Distillery).

A marriage of whiskies distilled in 1959 and 1960 representing the birth year of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and released in 1986.

The ex-Bourbon casks make up a large part of the vatting, lending that unmistakable Kilchoman character, while the addition of Calvados casks, which may surprise a few people, infuses vibrant green apple and fresh fruit notes into the mix."
Tasting Note: Nose: Fragrant and delicate with bursting notes of fresh pineapple, hibiscus and lemon sherbets. Palate: Herbaceous with undertones of dried apple granola, caramelised puffed wheat and buttered popcorn. Finish: Light and graceful with reminiscence of orchard fruits and zesty freshness. Nose: A burst of peat smoke, earthy notes, salty seaweed, dried meat, honey syrup at the back, roasty, and dried plum sweetness at the back. Taste: Dried fruit sweetness with salted cararmel, grassy notes, and peat smoke. Finish: A warming finish with dark chocolate.
