Each bottle represents a day (and is hand numbered as such with a specific day from the year of 1948, which being a leap year had 366 days). This bottle is numbered with the date of 25th August. Including a signed certificate of guarantee.  This is quite a different Macallan than the usual heavy sherry bottlings and instead has a very clean, fruity with some phenolic/subtle smoke notes and surprisingly youthful for such an aged malt. Rated 93+ on Whiskybase across 32 votes.
