Part of House of Suntory, "Yamazaki” originates from the suburb of Yamazaki in Osaka, the hometown of Japanese whisky, and the first whisky distillery in Japan. A predecessor to the Hibiki releases, the Suntory Prestige was bottled in 1989 to celebrate Suntory's 90th Anniversary. Most of the malt in this bottling reportedly came from the Yamazaki Distillery combined with grain whisky.
