An older version of Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky. This bottling has been at the forefront of growth of Japanese Whisky. This Single Malt Whisky from Suntory has been winning several awards from the early years of 2003, 2010 - ISC Gold; 2009, 2013 - SWSC Double Gold, 2011 - IWSC Gold (best in class). With a beautiful golden hue, the palate brings out fresh tropical fruits, spices such as cloves & cinnamon, a hint of coconut (perhaps coming from the Mizunara Oak matured components of this whisky) with a long finish.

This whisky is a blended malt, crafted from select malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries. Known for its elegant and complex profile, it offers aromas of caramelized nuts, blackcurrants, and pear, layered with vanilla, dark toffee, and rich sherry spices. The palate balances oak, dark cherry, sweet caramel, subtle smoke, and warm wood spices, culminating in a long and smoky finish.
This Hibiki release from 1990s is highly sought after as the blend has evolved over the ages and offers a window into the past. Please note that this bottling comes with its box as shown in the photo. Due to the age of these vintage bottles, the box and labels may exhibit some fading, wear. Such signs of aging are common and reflect the bottle’s history, adding to its character and authenticity.

The Hibiki 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky received the Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge 2016. It also won the World Whiskies Award for Best Blended Japanese Whisky in the 13 to 20 years category.
The bottling with the matte finish purple box packaging belongs to the older editions of this whisky, produced before Suntory discontinued this age-stated expression in 2018. Please note that the box will have some creases and wear and tear given that this is an older release.

Yakushima, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, is an island located 60 km southwest of Kagoshima Prefecture's mainland. This island, blessed with steep mountains and abundant water, is home to the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar which deliver a unique climate for Whisky aging.
This Whisky has been distilled at the Komagatake Distillery and matured at Yakushima, with the label featuring artwork by local artists from Yakushima as a part of an art label series. Collection #02 showcases Akiko Mukai's "Yakushima".
