One of 2012's most hotly-anticipated releases, Ardbeg Galileo is made up from casks distilled in 1999, some of which spent their full term of maturation in casks that previously held Marsala wine, imparting sweet tropical fruit flavours to the mix. Galileo's concept celebrates the well-publicised experiment whereby small quantities of Ardbeg were sent into space at the end of 2011 to see how they mature in zero gravity.

About 15,000 bottles were reportedly released at an ABV of 49%.

The Strathmill Distillery was originally founded as a corn mill in 1823 and in 1891 was finally converted into a Whisky distillery. This bottling was a Special Limited Release in 2014 with 2700 bottles released globally.  A rare release from the distillery itself as most of the whisky in the past has been released by Independent Bottlers. Matured for 25 years in refill American Oak casks. Colour: gold Nose: cream, citrus fruits with malt and brown sugar, some cloves Palate: Sweet, citrus fruits, some herbs, honey and spices such as cinnamon, cloves. Finish: Stays for a while with subtle notes of mint.

Matured in refill American oak hogsheads and Sherry Butts filled in1999. This bottling captures the older style of Distillery. The initial sweetness and citrus fruits gives way to some herbal and grassy notes along with some toffee and apple. 5352 Bottles were released. Rated 87+ across 115+ votes on Whiskybase.

This shochu is made from 100% Koganesengan sweet potatoes sourced from Minamisatsuma. Reportedly only 200 bottles were released exclusively for Mitsukoshi after vatting of 2 Quarter Casks ("Chibidaru"). A rare bottling indeed. Rated 90+ on Whisky Base by about 5 reviewers.

Distilled in the Winter of 1983 (most likely in the first few months of 1983 before the Port Ellen Distillery closed permanently in May 1983) at Port Ellen and matured in a Sherry Butt for 25 Years, this rare single malt was bottled by Douglas McGibbon & Co in Autumn in 2008. "On the nose, this Port Ellen is oceanic with seaweed, iodine and a character of fresh leather. The palate opens with rich smoke and creasote and develops sweetness with burnt caramel.
