Lots of smoke, iodine, and salty notes with hints of oloroso in the background. A great bottling to taste a Kilchoman from its early days.

Unit price perThe art of Satsuma Kiriko (kiriko: cut glass) has its origins in Kagoshima (also know as the Satsuma region) since the end of time of samurai in the 19th century. This art form was once lost in the turbulent times around the end of Edo Period and has since been revived in 1985 and the technique of Satsuma Kiriko is well recognised in world’s glass artcrafts due to their features such as “gradation” expressing the delicate aspects of the Japanese culture. Deshimaru Studio, a family owned glass producer in Kagoshima upholds this traditional technique while interpreting them into modern innovative expressions.
This beautiful hand cut glass in yellow, comes in a wooden gift box. Perfect for enjoying a glass of whisky or shochu neat/straight up!

Craigellachie, one of the few remaining distilleries to use worm tub condensers produces a spirit with the usual meaty, heavier flavours. This 17 Year Old expression matured in is the first release of 2014 (Batch 98-ZC21) and has since become a part of the regular releases. Nose: Pear, apples with a creamy and buttery note, oak spices, a hint of smoke Palate: a strong start with a spicy, aromatic sweetness with tropical fruits and a creamy texture Finish: Smoky with a hint of pepper.

Matured exclusively in spanish oloroso sherry butts, this A'bunadh is the Batch 67 release from Aberlour. A'bunadh means "The Original" in Gaelic and is a respectful toast to the founder of Aberlour, James Fleming. Bottled at cask strength, this is an intensely rich sherried whisky. Aroma of spices, pralines, spiced oranges with a palate of black cherries, ginger and dark chocolate. The finish is long and balanced with hints of oak.
Usually a vatting of 5 - 25 year old Whiskies, the A'bunadh range is a highly awarded release from this distillery.

The Batch 1 release of this Special Selection for "The Bothy" series was first matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred for a secondary maturation into smaller American Oak casks called Quarter Casks for a minimum period of 18 months. This greater contact between the whisky and oak results in a much more intense maturation over a shorter period of time. A full bodied Arran with rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery notes in between alongside fresh fruits and a hint of dark chocolate.
12,000 bottles were released in Sep 2015. A 'bothy' refers to a simple shelter, usually unlocked and available for anyone to use free of charge and generally available as a basic accommodation for gardeners or other workers on an estate.
