This peated whisky matured in five first-fill ex-bourbon barrels for 14 years (Cask Nos. 403, 422, 498, 750 & 800 / 2010). Only a total of 1,120 bottles were released worldwide.

Tasting Note: Nose: Soft and full-bodied with rich caramel and toffee, complemented by hints of lemon zest and subtle peat smoke. Palate: Lush and smooth, with sweet toffee and vanilla, followed by lemon curd notes and a light, integrated peat smoke. Tasting Note: Nose: Full-bodied with a strong cask influence after 18 years, offering rich butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel, along with hints of toasted oak. Palate: Robust, with sweet caramel and toffee fruits, balanced by a touch of peat smoke and subtle saltiness in the background. Finish: Long with lasting toffee and butterscotch, and a hint of maritime smoke that rounds off the finish. (From the Distillery)

This single malt Indian whisky from Amrut Distillery in Bangalore was specially selected by Master Distiller Ashok Chokalingam and independently bottled by Blackadder to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Bottled in 2025 as cask BA2025-01, only 125 bottles were released.  

Embodying the spirit of Blackadder’s Raw Cask series, this release remains unfiltered to preserve the natural cask sediments for maximum authenticity. Bottled at a powerful cask strength of 63.6% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered, uncoloured, and retains natural cask particles for a richly oily texture.

Each year, the Distillery Manager at Laphroaig (John Campbell in this case) handcrafts a limited edition for the "Friends of Laphroaig" to celebrate friendship ("Cairdeas" in Gaelic). Released at Fèis Ìle 2015 to celebrate the distillery's 200th anniversary, 100% floor malted barley (from the distillery's own small malting floor) was used with the two smaller and older stills. Reportedly matured in ex-bourbon casks for about 11-12 years, this bottling captures Master Distiller John Campbell's vision of how Laphroaig was originally produced.

Laphroaig Cairdeas Feis Ile 2017 is matured in a Quarter Cask and bottled at Cask Strength. A Quarter Cask as the name implies is a smaller (quarter of the original Barrel) cask which results in increased contact bewteen whisky and wood and an active maturation and intense flavours. Nose:  A characteristic Laphroaig with minerals, peat smoke and oak spices balanced with subtle fruits Palate: Peat smoke with spices again with peppery notes and salty notes intertwines with malty sweetness Finish: a strong finish with hints of salty notes, green fruits and lingering sweetness.

A limited release in 2017 as a part of the distillery’s 200th year celebration, this Teaninich Whisky was distilled before the distillery underwent significant expansion. Matured in refill American oak hogsheads and Sherry Butts filled in1999. This bottling captures the older style of Distillery. The initial sweetness and citrus fruits gives way to some herbal and grassy notes along with some toffee and apple. 5352 Bottles were released. Rated 87+ across 115+ votes on Whiskybase.

A great way to sample some older Glenmorangie.

Nose: golden apples, raisins and rich fig syrup with hints of roasted coffee beans. Appearance: Autumn gold. Palate: A gentle sweet sherried character progresses to caramelised apricots warmed by cracked black pepper. (Producer's Tasting notes).

A 2005 Vintage Single Cask #1926 special bottling from the GlenDronach distillery, matured for 13 years in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask for the Taiwan market and bottled at an impressive 57.3% ABV. Deep copper in color, and a nose of aromatic sandalwood, winter spice and creme caramel, the palate is full of sweet and mellow almonds, orange and walnut cream with lingering cocoa (Producer's Tasting notes). 705 bottles were released in 2019.
