First distilled in 1973, Longrow is the double distilled, heavily peated style Single Malt from the Springbank Distillery. This Longrow 21 years is a limited edition, reportedly matured in 60% of sherry cask and 40% of bourbon cask, bottled in 2019 with 3600 bottles released.
Nose: A sweet yet meaty dram there are aromas of glazed cherries and cured salty meats. Stewed dark plummy notes and chewy black wine gums. Maple syrup and crispy bacon with a medicinal influence from the robust peat smoke. It seems brighter on the nose with a touch of zesty orange peel. Palate: Sweet, smoky and waxy with a twist of citrus. Caramel shortbread with marzipan, lemon zest and a dusting of icing sugar. Waxy crayons and rich dried fruits with a touch of clove spiciness. Matured for 8 years in refill bourbon barrels and an additional 2 years in fresh Tokaji (Hungarian Sweet Wine) casks this 1995 vintage Longrow is part of the wood expressions released by the Distillery in 2005 with an outturn of 7440 bottles. Nose: Sweet mix of raisins, plums and caramel, a bit of peat and light smoke with tobacco Palate: Dry and full bodied with a creamy touch, full of the berries and raisins with some herbs and peat Finish: A long finish of berry jam and toffee apple with hints of spicy smoke at the end.
Please note that the condition of the box/packaging (there is a wear and tear given that the bottle was released in 2005). However, bottle and the seal is in good condition. Sold in "As Is" condition.

This world blended whisky, crafted by Ichiro Akuto, founder of the Chichibu Distillery, celebrates the 20th anniversary of Venture Whisky. Established in September 2004, at a time when the whisky industry was struggling, Chichibu aimed to share the original spirits inherited from Ichiro Akuto's father while crafting a new Whisky which captured the essence of Japanese Whisky making and blending.
The whisky combines oak-aged malt and grain whiskies from various renowned regions, including those from the Chichibu Distillery, which began operations in 2008. Carefully matured in Chichibu’s cellars, the result is a well-balanced whisky with a distinctive character. The composition reflects the history of Venture Whisky, and the distillery expresses gratitude to its supporters, hoping they will continue to enjoy their offerings for years to come.
The whisky has an aroma of golden peach, pineapple, honey, mint, and cinnamon. It tastes malty and sweet, with juicy fruit, vanilla, and spices, finishing with a complex blend of acidity, spiciness, and lingering sweetness.

This is the inaugural release from the Ontake distillery which has been matured in first-fill solera sherry butts and bottled in 2023. Non-chill filtered and bottled at a very approachable ABV of 43% this is an excellent and enjoyable Whisky from this new distillery in Kagoshima, Japan.
Color: Amber Nose: Aromatic dry fruits, figs and plums Palate: A rich sweetness reminding of raisins and figs, some pear compote and apricot, some spices, and subtle toasty savory notes Finish: Lingering spices with a warm finish of chocolate.
Ontake distillery lies atop the hills of Kagoshima (on the Kyushu Island of Japan) and is Nishi Shuzo's latest venture into Whisky. With a long history since 1845, Nishi Shuzo have established themselves as a very high quality Shochu producer and more recently Sake. Their first new make ran through Ontake's stills in 2019, and all whisky releases are likely to be exclusively matured in old sherry casks.

This IPA CASK FINISH Single Malt Whisky from the Asaka Distillery has been primarily aged in first fill bourbon barrels and then finished in Imperial IPA casks from HOPJAPAN, a brewery in Miyakoji-machi located near the Distillery.
Bottled in limited numbers as a Non Chill filtered and in Natural color, this Single Malt Whisky has a nose of citrus peels and cinnamon like spices with a complex palate balanced by the vanilla and honey sweetness of the Bourbon Casks and the freshness that is characteristic of hops with hints of dark chocolate at the back.
Released in Oct 2023, there were only 538 bottles. A silver medal award-winning in the 2024 Tokyo Whisky and Spirits Competition.
