Deep copper in color, and a nose of aromatic sandalwood, winter spice and creme caramel, the palate is full of sweet and mellow almonds, orange and walnut cream with lingering cocoa (Producer's Tasting notes). 705 bottles were released in 2019. This is a special bottling released by the Shinshu Mars Distillery and is a vatting of malt from two distilleries, "Komagatake" and "Chichibu", which has been matured at Mars Shinshu Distillery in a variety of Bourbon Barrel, American White Oak and Sherry Oak for more than 5 years. In 2015, Mars Shinshu Distillery and Venture Whisky (Chichibu) Distillery began exchanging their new make spirit, which was subsequently matured in their respective locations. 10,918 Bottles were released.
Nose: sweet maple syrup, oak spices and some notes of varnish along with plum and a hint of caramelised orange peel Palate: Sweet caramel, some brandy cake, cacao and nutmeg with a hint of smoke and spiciness Finish: Gentle tannins along with some black tea on the finish. With water, more caramel and toffee notes are evident along with oak spices.

A great way to sample some older Glenmorangie.

Imperial's history has been dogged by periods of closure and changed ownership several times, until it was finally demolished in 2013. Usually very difficult to find and has somewhat of a fan following of its floral, cream soda, gentle style of spirit.
This bottling by Independent Bottler Signatory Vintage is part of their Cask Strength Collection. Distilled in August 1995 and matured in a Hogshead #50142 for 18 years, it was bottled in January 2014. Only 293 bottles were released.
Nose: Citrus, minerals, almost alkaline balanced with some sweetness. Overall, the nose is quite elegant Palate: Citrus fruits, lemony sweetness with earthiness Finish: The citrus fruits remain with some oak and a warming finish which stays for quite some time.
