信州マルス＆ツヌキ ジャパニーズウイスキー

信州マルス蒸留所は、1985年に長野県宮田村の標高798メートルの高地に開設されました。夏の湿度が適度で、水質も良好という、ウイスキー造りに最適な立地です。

1990年、日本経済は停滞し、ウイスキーの需要は劇的に落ち込みました。この業界では比較的若いマルス社は、1992年に生産を停止しました。しかし、2007年までにウイスキー市場は回復し始め、信州マルス社は20年近くの休止期間を経て、2011年に生産を再開しました。

In November 2016, the Mars Tsunuki Distillery was established in Minamisatsuma City, Tsunuki. The "Single Malt Komagatake Tsunuki Aging" is a single malt whisky created to commemorate the opening of this new distillery, with a limited release of 2,274 bottles. Distilled in 2013 at the Mars Shinshu Distillery, this whisky has been aged for three years in bourbon barrels at Tsunuki's stone warehouse. "Rindo" is the first release of Mars's Nature of Shinshu range and refers to one of the types of flower which grows near the distillery. Distilled in 2012 and launched at The Tokyo Whisky Festival 2015, It is a combination of Ex-Bourbon, Sherry and Japanese Wine Cask at an  ABV 52%. It reportedly has some 20 year-old component whisky within the vatting as well.
