羽生

1626年以来、数代にわたり酒造りを営んできた阿久藤磯次氏は、1941年に埼玉県羽生市に羽生蒸留所を設立しました（酒類販売免許は1946年に取得）。しかし、シングルモルトウイスキーの生産を開始したのは、日本製のポットスチル2基を導入した1980年になってからでした。しかし、当時の需要は主にブレンデッドウイスキーに偏っていました。そのため、羽生蒸留所は2000年に生産を中止し、2004年には蒸留所も閉鎖されました。
羽生の残りの在庫は、阿久藤一郎氏（磯路阿久藤創業者の孫）によって回収され、別の酒造会社である笹の川酒造の協力を得て保管されました。笹の川酒造は、2008年に阿久藤一郎氏が設立した新しい蒸溜所である埼玉県の西武池袋本店に移されるまで、これらの在庫を保管していました。これらの羽生の樽は、今や伝説となったイチローズモルト羽生カードシリーズをはじめとする羽生シリーズのボトルに詰められました。また、一部の在庫は、埼玉県産の自社蒸留酒とブレンドされ、様々なリーフシリーズのボトリングに使用されました。特にダブルディスティラリーズのグリーンリーフシリーズでは、この比率が比較的低くなっています（最近のリリースでは、この比率は低い傾向にあります）。

A vatting of Chichibu, Hanyu and several other world whiskies vatted in a rather unique Ovum (egg) - shaped cask made from French Oak, shaped in the Charentes region by the Taransaud Company. 

As we would expect, sweet wine notes, red berries with some spiciness on the nose and a palate which reminds us of fresh apples, caramel sweetness, mild spices and some light tannins. A medium long dry finish with some subtle chocolate bitterness.

この希少なウイスキーは、阿久戸一郎氏による素晴らしいヴァッティングで、 2つの失われた蒸溜所のシングルカスク（羽生蒸溜所1990年ヴィンテージと川崎蒸溜所1982年ヴィンテージ）から樽詰めされています。清里フィールドバレエ29周年を記念した特別なボトルです。

川崎蒸溜所は、軽井沢蒸溜所も所有していたメルシャン株式会社の所有でした。軽井沢蒸溜所はモルトウイスキーに特化し、川崎蒸溜所はグレーンウイスキーに特化していました。東京と横浜の間、川崎県に位置する川崎蒸溜所は、リフィルシェリーバットとデメラララムの樽に、トウモロコシ90%、大麦麦芽10%を使用していました。メルシャンは2000年代にキリンホールディングスの傘下となり、軽井沢蒸溜所と川崎蒸溜所は閉鎖されました。閉鎖後、在庫の樽の大部分は山梨の倉庫に保管され、2006年に肥土一郎氏が購入しました。

1990年の発足以来、清里フィールドバレエは毎年7月から8月にかけて「野外」で公演されています。最初の記念ボトルは25周年に発売され、非常に稀少でコレクターに人気の高い逸品です。25周年記念ボトルは白州、山崎、知多のグレーンをブレンドしたと伝えられています。26周年と27周年記念ボトルは羽生と川崎のブレンド、28周年記念ボトルは白州、羽生と川崎のブレンド、そしてメーカーズマークプライベートセレクトの3種類が発売されました。そして今回の29周年記念ボトルも羽生と川崎のブレンドです。

2018年に403本が発売されました。
