This Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has been made using a mashbill of 70% corn, 15% distillers malt and 15% chocolate malted rye (essentially a malted rye that has been heavily roasted, leading to its natural sugars to be caramelised to deliver dark chocolate like flavours). A limited edition release from 2019. First produced by James Logan Mackie in 1861 and taking its name from a famous Edinburgh inn, White Horse is a historic brand with Lagavulin one of its key components.  We estimate this to be a bottling from the late 1950s to early 1960s.

Given the date of the bottling, we expect a major component of this whisky to be Lagavulin.

Finished in "Orange "(Naarangi in Hindi) Sherry Casks. Amrut procured Oloroso Sherry in the Casks from Spain which were then infused with fresh orange peels for over two years after which the sherry was emptied and then filled with Amrut Single Malt for further maturation.  The noticeable citrus flavours alongside the traditional sherry notes make this Single Malt quite special.

Matured exclusively in spanish oloroso sherry butts, this A'bunadh is the Batch 67 release from Aberlour. A'bunadh means "The Original" in Gaelic and is a respectful toast to the founder of Aberlour, James Fleming. Bottled at cask strength, this is an intensely rich sherried whisky. Aroma of spices, pralines, spiced oranges with a palate of black cherries, ginger and dark chocolate. The finish is long and balanced with hints of oak.

Usually a vatting of 5 - 25 year old Whiskies, the A'bunadh range is a highly awarded release from this distillery.
