The Hibiki 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky received the Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge 2016. It also won the World Whiskies Award for Best Blended Japanese Whisky in the 13 to 20 years category. Hokuto was intially launched in 2004, but was discontinued since 2009/2010, despite it being a big success. This 12 year old pure malt consists of mostly Hakushu and perhaps some Yamazaki. Smooth and balanced, this was positioned as an "easy drinking whisky".
