The Glenrothes started their whisky production in Speyside in 1879 and this Glenrothes Quantum 40 is matured in a sherry cask for 40 years, and the bottle is designed and blown by master craftsmen of Dartington, a British crystal brand with a long history, and the crown-shaped glass stopper is also handmade.

Released by the family owned Glenfarclas Distillery, this Collector Series comprise, six extremely exclusive Whiskies, each representing one of six generations of the Grant Family which has continued to own the Distillery. This bottling is the third one of the series and comes in a black box adorned with a metal coin featuring the portrait of George Grant (1874-1949). Bottled on 24th April 2015. Only 937 bottles were released. Rated 92+ on Whiskybase (by over 40 reviewers).

A very special release from The Isle of Skye's Talisker Distillery, for which adventurer James Aiken carried some barrel staves on a solo trans-Atlantic journey tracking the same same route taken by Talisker Team's 3264-mile rowing challenge.  Once these staves came back from their EXPEDITION, they were then inserted into 10 casks of whisky which have been aged for at least 43 years, creating a unique finishing process that further infused the whisky with the spirit of the sea.
